Indigo moon

my sabertooth cat was like a rose in a storm
as beautiful as sin
but as dangerous as that very storm
she was no fair maiden that needed rescuing
But no warrior either
my sabertooth cat was a healer
of that I was sure
for everything she touched looks brighter than before
It was sad to see her go
but in my heart of hearts I was sure
that she could win the war
i was filled with glee when I heard the call
for my sabertooth friend had not forgotten me after all
but she was not the same as before
her words were cautious and filled with sorrow
I wanted to weep for my sabertooth friend
for despite her words
she had forgotten in the end
my sabertooth friend was not in my sight
but I knew without a doubt what I would find
the darkness danced in her eyes
as unlikely as a dark star
it grows day after day
with no end in sight
my sabertooth friend I wish you well
I wish you goodnight
I wished to the stars one night
wishing for the sun to rise with glee
but it was not to be
for I jumped to fast and to deep
trying to chase the dark away
but the cost of hastiness was great
but no matter the cost I would gladly pay
for I had brought it upon myself
so I payed the cost, and waved goodbye
to my sabertooth friend who used to have stars in her eyes
but I had one wish playing on my mind
that fate shall be on our side
and we will meet once again
my sabertooth friend
when the danger has passed
and the skies have cleared
as my heart charges ahead without a thought
only to protect you as its goal
but despite that fear
I yearn for us to meet again
with stars in our eyes, my sabertooth friend
all I ask is for you to please
wait for me, my friend
as I will for you
I no longer have a lot of growing up to do
so if you read this, please, heed my call
and once again be, my sabertooth friend, and my Indigo moon.
