"Hold still right before we crash, cause we both know how this ends"

Izuku stood frozen, words unable to escape his now slightly agape mouth as a light blush rose to his cheeks. He knew what Katsuki had smelt yesterday and was still convinced that the Alpha had him figured out.

What he wasn't expecting, was for the smirk to fall of Katsukis face, being replaced with his usual deep scowl as he turned away.

"Well don't just stand there nerd! You look dumb as fuck" Katsuki grumbled slightly as Izuku opened and closed his mouth in confusion. What was going on? Surely Katsuki would have commented on what had occurred the previous day. It was unlike him to not say something if he had found something suspicious. He swallowed the lump of nervousness that had formed in his throat and took another few steps into the kitchen, slowly sidling towards the cabinet that held the cardboard cereal boxes.

That was when another scent came into his senses, sweet and homely. That was when Izuku became aware of the quite sizzling of something cooking in the pan. He peeked round the broad frame of Katsuki to see a perfect pancake rapidly turning golden brown.

"Oh" He squeaked, a sudden hunger overtaking him at the delicious smell that wasn't Katsuki. The latter turned sharply to look at the smaller male.

"What the fuck do you mean by 'oh'?" He questioned aggressively, causing Izuku to jump at the sudden inquiry

"Just the pancakes" The greenette turned to get a box of cereal out before Katsuki spoke up again.

"Want some?" The query was little less than a mumble but in the almost silence of the dorms, Izuku heard it loud and clear, the earlier blush (which had since faded) returning in a deeper state than before.

"y-yes please" He stuttered quietly. A sudden pulse from his soulmark left him once again frozen in his place as he stared at the tile panels that lined the floor. If only he had been looking up, then he would have seen Katsuki having the same reaction.

The Alpha stared at the slightly stained white tiles that lined the kitchen. There it was again. The gentle throbbing of the green flower on his arm. Tight hold around the spatula loosened slightly as his head filled with thoughts. It was only when Izuku shuffled his clothed feet against the floor did he snap back into action. He grumbled, returning from his shocked state to a grump in the space of just two seconds.

"Whatever" He grumbled, putting his last pancake on the plate before pouring more batter into the crackling pan, waiting for the liquid to turn into its solid- and definitely tastier- form; to Katsuki, pancakes had always been delicious, even if he wasn't that big on sweets.

Unlike the stupid blob of green that was currently making tea. He had always had a sweet tooth and it didn't seem like it would be leaving him anytime soon. Katsuki still remembered how five-year-old Izukus face would light up in that bright smile every time he'd get an ice cream cone from the ice cream van, or Inko had made cookies or cakes. The way his cheeks would puff up as he chewed, small noises of happiness. Now Katsuki wondered if it was still the same.
