Liyah ran after Sunnie as she was running naked around the house.
"Sunnie, come on!" Liyah said, stopping to catch her breath. She was trying to take things easy since she was 2 months into her pregnancy. "Sunnie!" Liyah said, running again seeing her child run into a wall, she was on the ground crying. Liyah picked up her baby girl and held her close, telling her "it was okay" in a soft, mature voice. She patted Sunnies back while walking back to the bathroom to give her a bath.
"It's okay Sun-Bear, you know a bath will make you feel a little better right?"
Sunnie stopped crying, still letting out little sniffles.
Liyah wiped the tears off of Sunnie's cheeks and turned off the water, dipping her hand in the warm water to check the temperature. Once a little ajusting of the temperature, Liyah put Sunnie gently into the water.
Sunnie giggled and played with the bubbles and toys that Liyah had placed in the water before.
"Bubbles!" Sunnie shouted, throwing a handful of bubbles in the air before they fell in her now soaked, soapy hair. Liyah smiled,"Dont throw anymore bubbles, I dont want to clean up a big mess on the floor okay?"
"Otway mommy!"
Liyah grabbed a paper towel and folded it neatly, then placed it on the counter. She then placed her ring on it and grabbed some shampoo.
"Close your eyes, Sun-Bear." Liyah said. Sunnie closed her eyes as mommy poured the shampoo on top of her head. She then started to scrub her air and scalp softly, as Sunnie smiled. Liyah then grabbed the shower handle.
"Lean back so we dont get the soapies in your eyes."
Sunnie leaned back, as Liyah turned the shower on and pushed away all the soap off her air, making sure none of the soapy water got into Sunnie's eyes. Once that was done, Liyah started to drain the bathwater, still leaving the shower on.
"Okay, you have to wash your body now Sun-Bear, can you do that for mommy?" Liyah asked, grabbing a duck wash cloth.
"Yesss!" Sunnie said, excitedly.
Liyah got the wash cloth wet, ringing the water out and putting around three pea-sized amount of soap on it. She then rubbed two sides of the cloth together, making it soapy. She then handed the wash cloth to Sunnie.
"Remember what mommy told you?"
Sunnie grabbed the wash cloth and started rubbing it on her stomach.
"Tummy, shwouldees, arm pits, arms, legs, private spot?" Sunnie said, cleaning herself off.
"Right! But you are missing an area."
"My back?"
"No, I'll get your back for now. You forgot your footsies!!"
"Oh yah! My footsies!!" Sunnie said, she sat down on the bathtub floor and wiped her feet off. "Mommy, can you get my back now?"
"Of course sweetie." Liyah took the cloth from Sunnie and began to wash her back.
"Okay now you rinse." Liyah said, ringing out the cloth again before putting it in the nearby laundry basket.
Sunnie moved more under the shower, rinsing off all the soap.
"Good girl!" Liyah said, getting up. She pulled a towel out of one of the cabinets, and turned off the shower. She wrapped the towel around Sunnie and lifted her up; carrying her to her room. Once she was there, she put Sunnie's diaper. She then slipped on a purple and pink dress on her Sunnie-Bear, then let her go play with her toys.
Liyah smiled at her precious baby, and rubbed her belly, excited for the new one to come.
