3.6 "What Was That About?"

We all had separated to look for the butler.

my phone rang and i answered it.

Me "Dean?"

Dean "it's no ghost. It's a Shapeshifter"

Suddenly i saw Dean in front of me

I said into the phone confused "Dean? "

Suddenly everything went black.

In the kitchen.

I groaned and woke up in pain. My head hurts.

Olivia stood there pointing a gun at me "killing you is the best thing to killing Bobby Singer"

me "What's your beef with Bobby?"

Olivia "For starters, he killed my father "

Me "Lance was a Shifter?"

She shook her head "Lance wasn't my father. Mother had an affair with a Shifter. She got pregnant. Told Lance i was his. He bought it, until she brought me back from the hospital. My real dad was waiting. Lance put up a fight, but he was no match for a Shifter. And just as my dad was about to take me the hunter became the hunted. "

Me "my dad"

Olivia "after Bobby killed my father, he came after me. Mother pleaded with him to spare me. He agreed under one condition. "

Me "that she keeps you locked up"

Olivia "for my safety and the safety of others. Mother told the family she lost the baby and she locked me in the attic. But she remained devoted to me until the very end. Even got Bobby to promise to take care of me if anything happened to her"

Me "Bobby spared you. You should be grateful"

Olivia "for what? keeping me locked up my whole life? It would've been kinder to kill me"

Me "Oliver, you don't want to kill me. Being a monster is a choice"

Olivia "that choice was made for me a long time ago"

She took a step closer to me, aiming the gun at my chest.

Me "go ahead, do it. but the first shot better kills me or else i'm gonna gut you out"

Olivia "don't worry about that"

Suddenly i heard a shot.

Olivia gasped and fell to the ground. Dead.

Dean stood there and kept shooting at the dead girl. He didn't stop. he couldn't. He stopped when his magazine was empty.

I eyed him.

Then he looked at me "you okay?"

I nodded "yeah"

Outside.

Everyone walked out. Turned out Dash was banging Amber.

The boys and i walked to the car.

Dash followed us "Guys. Police are on their way. what a mess. I owe you an apology"

Sam "don't sweat it. I mean, you were just protecting your family. And there is nothing wrong with that"

Dash "so i spoke to Aunt Bunny's attorney. He said, outside from the pendant, everything's left to Olivia."

I nodded "speaking of that"

Then i handed him the key "You guys should keep it. It's a key to the attic"

Dash "Bobby must have really meant something to Aunt Bunny. How can we repay you?"

Dean "you know what? just forget we were ever here"

Dash "you saved our lifes. I want everyone to know heroes-"

Dean "look, pal. The fact that we pulled your bacon out of the fire is nobody's business. okay?. I'm serious. "

Then we walked to the Impala and got in.

At a gas station.

Sam was inside buying some water for us.

Dean and i were still in the car, waiting for him.

he looked at me and put a hand on my thigh "you're quiet. You haven't talked since we drove off the mansion. everything okay?"

I looked out of the window "what was that all about back there?"

Dean "what are you talking about?"

I looked at him "I mean, all those extra shots after the Shifter was already dead. What was that about ?"

Dean shrugged, confused and amused "i don't know. Target practice?"

I asked irritated and worried "you think this is funny? you think i'm being funny?Dean, i'm serious. You sure it's got nothing to do with the mark? Or-?"

Dean shook his head "no. no. none of that. I don't wanna hear it"

Me "i just -"

Dean got a little pissed off "Oh my god, Elena. It was my fist kill since i've been back. I got a little anxious. I wanted to make sure it was done. Plain and Simple."

I nodded, shrinking into the seat "okay"

Dean asked irritated and pissed off "why am i even explaining this to you? You know how i can get when your life is on the line. I protected you, you should be grateful instead of questioning my actions"

Then he turned the radio on.

I sighed "Dean-"

He turned up the volume.

I shook my head and looked out of the window.
