"Yes, thank you" I told the man on the other line as Rosie waited in suspense.
As I put my phone down, Rosie looked at me with eager eyes, "So?! What did he say?" She asked.
"He said that I have a meeting in a week in London to sign my contract..." I said quietly, almost as a whisper, but Rosie still made out every word.
She started squealing again and dancing around my room, causing Dave to pop his head through the door, "My favourite cousin is going to be famous!" She shouted at the top of her lungs.
"I'm your only cousin..." I said pulling a face.
"You are still my favourite" She said with a smile.
"Just because I got a record deal, doesn't mean that I will become famous. People might not even like my music, I might just completely flop like Midnight Oil" I explained.
"Who is Midnight Oil?" Rosie asked.
"Exactly" I simply said.
"But that wont happen to you, you will do amazing and be amazing and everyone will love you" She said as she dragged me into a tight hug. "I'm so proud of you, and I know that you will do great things if you just give it a chance."
"Thanks Rosie. How about we have a girls night, well a girls night with James" I suggested.
"Sounds like a plan. I'll text James to pick up pizza on the way" She said as we both fell back onto my bed, ready for our night in with lots of food and movies.

"You still haven't told me what happened the other night between you and Tom" James said at 1am during our third Harry Potter movie."What do you mean?" I asked confused.
"When you were completely drunk and came into the pub with Rosie, Dave and the guys" He explained.
"And?" I questioned.
"And?! What do you mean 'and'? You two went out back and were taking your sweet time. When Sam found you, you were both sat on the floor, with his arm around your waist. You were sitting awfully close to each other" He continued to explain.
"Uhh I don't really remember anything from that night, all I remember was waking up the next morning with a pounding headache, oh and throwing up a couple of times" I said.
"Oh honey, you threw up more than a couple of times" She said, earning a confused look from me. "Wow, she really doesn't remember anything" Rosie concluded.
"Damn, I should have pushed the details out of you that night. Maybe Tom remembers" James pondered.
"Oh please don't bring him into this, I'm sure it was nothing, he was just being nice, like any friend would" I explained.
"Ugh I hate the word friend" James sighed.
"Um excuse me?" Rosie and I said in sync.
"For guys, I hate the word when guys use it" He explained himself.
"You just need to man up and ask him out already" Rosie said.
"But I don't even know if he is gay, let alone if he actually likes me. Or maybe he is gay, and I'm just the problem" James said as he pushed his face into a pillow.
"You are not the problem James, you just need to take a chance. You should follow in Kiara's footsteps" Rosie began another motivational speech. "Next time I hesitate with something and am too scared, I will remember this conversation, and take a chance too. We can do this together" She reassured.
"You promise?" James asked before we all stuck out pinky fingers, promising that we will start taking chances, together.

After the third Harry Potter movie had finished, we all got ready for bed. My phone screen lit up the dark room and James reached for it first, reading "goodnight darling" out allowed before I snatched it out of his hand. "So you are telling me that there is really nothing going on?" He asked.
"Yeah, he is just being nice and British, there is nothing going on" I said, trying to convince James.
We all went silent and I was seconds away from sleep when I heard James ask, "So you really don't know Kiara?"
"Know what?" I whispered back.
"Nothing" I heard before I fell into a deep slumber with my thoughts, and a strange feeling in my stomach.

I'm sorry that this is such a short chapter, but I think I said everything that needed to be said. And you may think that it is moving quite fast, like her career and all, but I want her to be in a conflicting place where she is hesitant about the industry, while Tom is trying to to tell her that he is already in it, if that makes sense.
