"Are you ready?" Rosie asked me.

"As I'll ever be" I replied before pressing 'Go Live'. After a couple of moments, I began to speak to my phone. "Hi everyone, and welcome to my Instagram! My EP, 'Nervous System', will be released in less than 15 minutes. In the lead up to the release, I will be answering your questions about me and my music" I explained after I saw enough people join.

Rosie tapped me on my shoulder before holding out her hand for me to pass my phone over. She said 'hello' quickly before typing something and pinning it to the bottom of the chat.

"Ooo that's cool! Now people will know when they join!" I said overly excited whilst pointing at my phone in realization, earning a look of pure disbelief from Rosie as she didn't understand my lack of knowledge about technology. After smiling shyly back at her, I turned back to the live stream to find many more people rolling in. "Feel free to ask me any questions that you wish about Nervous System, or just any questions about me in general. I also have my cousin Rosie here with me, we are getting ready for my EP release party" I added.

Rosie introduced herself properly this time as she sat next to me in frame to read questions with me. "Hi everyone! You are going to love Kiara's EP, Nervous System! She has been working very hard on it for the past couple of months and I think it is amazing and I know that you all will too! Also, you can thank me later for finally convincing her to get an Instagram account. It was a difficult task, but I got there in the end" Rosie said being overly dramatic.

"I mean it was kind of a job requirement" I muttered, receiving a glare on Rosie's behalf. "Okay... So what is everyone asking?"

"What was the inspiration for the EP?" Rosie read out.

"I mainly focused on particular stories from the people around me to gain inspiration for the lyrics. I put myself in other people's shoes to see how I would have felt in their situation and wrote about that. I was paired up with two amazing girls, who I can safely say are two of my best friends, to write with. Jackie and Sarah, shout out to you two, I wouldn't have been able to have done this without you girls" I explained.

"What is your favourite song from the EP?" Rosie asked.

"'Pink', definitely. It's just so different from what I'm used to doing with just an acoustic guitar or piano, so it was fun to be in a studio and be able to experiment with new sounds. But then again, I also really love 'Worst In Me'. It's what I think 'my sound' is, and I love how it turned out. What's your favourite song Rosie?" I asked her.

"I also really like 'Worst In Me', I like the lyrics, and just the sound in general" Rosie said with a smile. "Okay, next question: will you be touring with your EP?" She asked with a smirk.

"Wow, it's not even released yet and your already asking about tour" I said laughing lightly. "I don't think that I will be going on a solo tour any time soon, I think I need a few more songs for that, but-" I was cut off by Rosie.

"Look! It's Shawn Mendes! He asks: 'How would you feel about being the opening act for a certain Australian tour I have coming up?'" Rosie asked excited with wide eyes.

"Hmm, I'll think about it Shawn" I said with a grin.

"Kiara!" Rosie practically yelled at me.

"Surprise! I'm going to be joining Shawn Mendes on his Australian leg of the Illuminate World Tour at the end of November!" I said quickly before I was interrupted by Rosie cheering and tackling me in a hug. "Rosie! The hair!" I squealed causing her to let go of me before we both burst out laughing.

"This is so exciting! Oh look! Shawn says: 'you are all going to love Kiara's EP! I can't wait to hear her sing all of these incredible songs on tour with me!'" Rosie paused for a second. "Kiara! Shawn Mendes knows that you exist!" She said quickly.

"Thank you so much Shawn! Just ignore my fan girl of a cousin" I added quickly as I scratched the back of my neck. Rosie nudged me quickly before picking up my phone again to see the new comments.

"Look who has joined the party! It's Tom!" Rosie said excitedly, the last part causing me to freeze up a bit. I quickly brushed it off and tried to return back to my normal self, but I could tell that Rosie noticed, which probably means that all the people on the live stream did too. "Everyone is asking what is going on between you two?"

I felt the heat rise to my cheeks as I stumbled over my words. "I uh- Tom, is a very lovely guy, who has been a- uh, um, amazing f-friend over the past couple of months. He has really helped me in the industry and I am so thankful for his, h-help" I said awkwardly. "Hi Tom" I added quietly with a small wave.

"I hope that we will be seeing you and the boys tonight at the party" Rosie broke the awkward silence. "Tom said that they are getting ready right now" She announced.

"Can't wait to see you all" I said with a still awkward smile.

"Oh look! There is less than a minute until 'Nervous System' released!" Rosie intersected again.

"Oh wow the nervous system sure is kicking in now" I joked sitting up again in my seat.

"Don't worry, it will be fine. So many people already love it! And I'm sure that all of these people will too!" Rosie comforted me.

"Thank you Rosie" I said with a soft smiling looking over at her. "In about 30 seconds, my EP 'Nervous System' will be released. I won't be offended if you all leave to go and listen to it, or just leave and don't listen to it" I suggested, my negative thoughts taking over. "But I will be playing one of my favourite songs from it, 'Worst In Me', for you all to listen if you do stay." I explained.

"Are you ready?" Rosie asked as she pulled up her phone to play the song when the clock ticked over.

"As I'll ever be" I repeated from earlier with a smile. We sat and watched the clock in silence as it ticked slowly, anticipating the release.

"It's out" Rosie said quietly as she turned to face me.

"It's out" I repeated in the same tone of voice. "It's out" I said again, a bit louder this time. "It's out!" I practically screamed of excitement. "I can't believe that it's actually out, my music is out there for everyone to hear!" I exclaimed. "Play the song!" I beckoned.

"This is 'Worst In Me' by Kiara Robinson from her brand new EP 'Nervous System'" Rosie said with excitement before playing the song.

I couldn't help but smile as I heard the music start playing, my music. As the song continued on, people began commenting, expressing their overwhelming love for the song and the EP. It was crazy, how just a couple months back, I was just a girl singing in a pub on a Wednesday night, and now I'm a signed artist with an EP out for the world to hear.

When the song finished, I spoke up, "Thank you all for staying to listen, and thank you all for your support already. We are going to go now, but thank you again, for everything" I concluded.

Rosie quickly shouted "Go stream, purchase and listen to the whole of 'Nervous System' by Kiara Robinson!" before I ended the live video.

"Wow" I sighed.

"What is it?" Rosie asked me.

"I never thought that this could possibly happen to me, after everything, I actually feel happy" I said with a genuine smile.

"I'm so happy for you Kiara, you deserve it. I'm so proud of how far you have come" Rosie said before engulfing me in a tight hug. "Now, let's go and get ready for this party of yours!"
