Max's P.O.V

"So, are you sure it was that?" Louis, the Alpha of the neighbor pack asked me.

"Positive, you know I wouldn't come here if it wasn't otherwise." I told him as I looked up to meet his gaze.

"So, what exactly do they want?" Jason, the Beta said as he looked at me.

"We don't know for sure what it is but it has caused a huge alarm in our packs." Taylor said and I nodded in agreement.

"What do you mean exactly with that?" Louis asked confused.

"The rouges that entered the territory weren't exactly invading us; they were running away from something." Taylor said in a calm voice.

"And what exactly was that?" Jason asked confused.

"Vampires, they were running away from vampires." I said as I looked at them.

There were several gasps from the meeting room, vampires and werewolves didn't mix for a reason.

"So, you are here for my help?" Louis asked in a slow voice.

I nodded.

"Of all werewolves you are the one that has the most experience with dealing with vampires, we need to find what are they after and why are they entering out territory. We don't want the vampires to harm our pack." I told him; that was the last thing I wanted.

"I simply don't understand you Maximilian, you have a great pack, you are married to the daughter of a former Alpha which granted an alliance with the Montgomery Pack, your brother as well has a pack and is mated with Abigail Woods, the leader of one of the most powerful packs in the country, together all of you are a threat yet here you are asking for my aid, may I ask why?" Louis told me.

I looked at him.

"We may have the numbers in our favor but brutal strength won't help us in this case; we all know that vampires are very clever and have a lot of patience when it comes to attacking, they will plan everything very well and conquer. We need your help because I don't want to have any lives to regret losing, I don't want to place neither my family nor my pack in danger and I believe the others agree with me too. We want to stop a future attack not to plan one; that is, it." I told him honestly.

Louis nodded finally understanding where I came from.

"You're right in many points; vampires don't simply attack out of nowhere they plan everything very carefully watching every single detail. I of all people know that very well, eighteen years ago they attacked my pack tearing away my mate and son, so I will ask you this Maximilian do you have something the vampires could be remotely interested in?" Louis asked me.

"No, I have always assured myself to stay away from vampires as well as my pack. I know vampires can't be trusted and that I should never try to get involved in any of their business." I said, to be honest I had never encountered a vampire before.

"And neither of our packs has gotten involve with vampires, we had made sure to avoid that as much as possible." Taylor said; he was just like me in that matter.

"What about that mate of yours?" Louis asked me.

I looked at him confused.

"What do you mean?" I asked him, what had Lizzy to do with this?

"Her name is Elizabeth, or am I wrong?" Louis said; he had heard about her before.

"It is, but what about her?" I told him in wary tone, I didn't like the direction this was taking.
