Why can't I be free to see the world I know so much about? As I fill my days with hours of studying, I dream of one day being able to travel and learn even more about the world around me that seems so far out reach. As the only daughter of a man who holds old-fashioned beliefs about women, I am a prisoner in this small world, unable to leave until I can get a suitable man to marry me. While I am of age and could leave, I have no way of supporting myself and would not survive. Marrying is not an option. Not for me.
Harry:
Why am I so ignorant of the world around me? While everyone is buzzing around me starstruck, I am traveling the world, but barely aware of what I am seeing. There is hardly time to stay in one place and go back to school to learn. It's torturous to be given the chance to see anything you want, but unable to comprehend any of it. This frustration is driving me crazy.
