Mum eventually came home and she had a lot to say. She wasn't usually the harsh punishment type of parent but I guess something about what had happened really struck a nerve with her. My uncle, Travis had similar problems to me when he was younger... He dealt with self harm and was addicted to heroin in his early twenties. He was a quiet man and didn't usually talk much, but had a lot to say at the same time. Something about the way he acted made me feel comfortable in his presence although the rest of my family always seemed to have some sort of resentment towards him.
"This is ridiculous Evelyn, I can't believe you did this to our family and I'm embarrassed and disgusted!" my bitch of a Mother whined. She sounded like a fucking banshee when she was mad and something about that really got on my nerves. After around twenty minutes of listening to her rant, she realised I wasn't listening and informed me I was no longer allowed on my phone or computer as punishment.
The month or two I went without my things was agonizing. I couldn't self harm, and I had nothing to distract myself from those thoughts. But as time went on the cold winter began to turn into spring and took my problems away with it. Aida and I met some new friends and we began to hang out together everyday at lunch. There was James, a short blonde haired blue eyed kid. He was a great friend and was new to the school and seemed to really enjoy our company. Then, there was Flynn. Flynn was an old friend of mine that I'd known since we were kids. He was a tall skinny blonde kid- in fact; he was so little we'd often joke about how easy it would be to pick him up and snap him like a twig. And of course, there was Chloe. Chloe had been with me since the start of my journey but always seemed to stay loyal to me no matter how many times I pushed her away from me. She was a funny kid, always grabbing at my face and squishing my cheeks like a grandmother. She was the mum friend of the group and always made sure everyone was okay.
Within our group we'd often joke about how James, Aida and Flynn looked like cousins where as Chloe and I looked like twin sisters. We had many jokes and fun times together but eventually as the spring faded into summer and the school year came to a close and it was time for us to move onto high school and go our seperate ways.
