"Christian, you are not a man who gets in relationships."

"What are you implying?" My tone was bored as I asked this.

"You are fit for one night stands and random hookups." She took in a deep breath before speaking again. "I love you Christian, but I am telling you, you will take this girls heart and break it."

I didn't say anything. I knew she was right.

"You are no good for her."

"Hannah, there is something about this girl that just keeps me constantly thinking about her. She intrigues me to no end." I paused as I tried to think of the proper words to describe her. "She is gorgeous."

"As your best friend, I wouldn't advise you to go for her. She can't be any different than your everyday blonde bimbo." She spoke this with an aggressive tone, almost daring me to disagree.

"She is. She is so much more than them. She has the most beautiful green eyes that I have ever seen. I swear I melt at the sound of her voice."

"Who even is she?" Hannah spoke. I could tell she was shocked.

"That's the thing. I have no idea." I looked at her puzzled face as she took in what I said. "She sits right behind the on deck circle every home game."

"You've got to be kidding."

"I swear to God. I have never felt like this before."

"You have never even spoke to this girl before and you're head over heels for her? Be a little smarter, Christian. She could easily be another cleat chaser."

"Well, I guess I won't know until I ask her out."

"You, Christian Yelich, are a heart breaker. You go up to a women, get to know her, sleep together, then throw her out. It's your process and it's almost like you can't help it. It's become second nature to you. Forgive me for assuming, but you're going to hurt her and I am sick and tired of consoling all of your ex-girlfriends after you end it with them."

"This time is different, Han." "She is different than them. I am telling you that for once, I don't think I want this girl for just sex. I am tired of playing these games. It's getting boring."

"Maybe you're finally growing up. Tell me about her."

"She has long brown hair and the most gorgeous green eyes. She had freckles across the bridge of her nose. Her eyes light up every time something good happens during the games. She is breathtakingly beautiful."

"Brown hair? Green eyes? Into baseball? Odd. She's not your type at all, Christian."

"Maybe I need a new type. A type that's not blondes who only want sex and money."

"I've only been telling you that for years." Hannah spoke to me in a stern voice. She was more like my mom than my roommate.

"I think tomorrow after my game I should talk to her."

"Sounds like a plan."
