"You've got it bad, dude." I snapped my head to the sound of the voice.
"What?"
"You've been staring at that girl for 10 minutes, dude." Travis said with a 'duh' tone.
"What girl?" I tried playing dumb. Shaw wasn't the brightest, so it was worth a shot.
"Come on. How dumb do you think I am?" He paused. "Don't answer that."
I chuckled a bit. "Come on, Shaw. It's game time."
As the game went on, I found myself getting lost as I stared at her. I didn't even mean to. There is nothing that I am more invested in than baseball, but this girl is so special that she seems to take over everything that I do.
I found myself just wanting to know her name. I'd bet it was as beautiful as she was. Something unique most likely.
Tonight she had her hair in waves with glasses on the bridge of her nose. I swear, even with her glasses on I could still see her eyes shining.
"Yelich!"
I almost didn't pay any mind to the voice around me.
"Yelich!"
"Huh?" I said. I was still staring at the girl.
"You're on deck! Get out there!"
No one and nothing has ever distracted me from baseball before. This was quite terrifying actually.

We ended up losing the game and I didn't have any post game interviews. Without hesitation I sprinted off the field and into the crowd.
For the life of me, I couldn't find her. People were everywhere walking around like ants that just had their home stepped on.
I walked back to the clubhouse when I saw her talking to one of the security guards.
"Please, Sir, my cousin is in there with one of the players and she has the keys to my car."
"I'm sorry, but there is no proof of that. I'm going to have to ask you to leave." There's been a countless amount of times where girls have pretended to be related or dating on of the players to get it. I knew why he was being so harsh.
"She's with me." I said. I looked over at her shocked face.
"Ah, Mr. Yelich. Great game tonight. Go on in." He said with a smile.
"Thank you so much. How can I repay you?" She asked as she looked into my eyes. Her eyes were even more beautiful up close.
"Go on a date with me."
"A date? You don't even know my name!"
"You could tell me."
She huffed before responding. "Hera."
"Hera? Like the goddess?"
"Bold, I know."
"It's quite fitting, actually."
"Fitting? What do you mean?"
"She was the most beautiful goddess. Right?"
"Charming. Is that how you talk to all of your girls?"
"All of my girls? I don't have girls." It's true. I've only ever had a serious relationship in highschool and even then I had never said the 'L' word.
"Please. You're a renowned heartbreaker. Everyone knows it."
"Let me prove you wrong."
"Fine. Tomorrow at 8."
She handed me a piece of paper with what I assumed to be her number on it before walking into the clubhouse to find her cousin.
She radiates confidence, and I've got to say, nothing turns me on more than confidence.
