At lunch the next day my friends and I sat at the table next to the guys, just like always. I glanced over as he sat down and we made eye contact. He sensied me and I did it back. I turned around to talk to my friend Maddie. Lunch went on and we continually made eye contact. Maddie brought fruit snacks for lunch and gave me one. "Max" I yell and he turns around. "Quick open your mouth! Uno, dos, tres!" I throw the fruit snack at his mouth. It misses and hits his nose. He smiles and throws it in his own mouth then turns around to talk to his friends. As we are walking out of the lunch room his hand brushes mine and we both walk our seperate ways. I have a small smile on my face as I walk away.
The Next Day:
Today at lunch again. We are both doing the same thing as yesterday. Talking and making casual eye contact. Today he is smiling more than usual. "Allie" he calls. "What?" I say turning around. He then throws his own fruit snack at my face and smiles his beautiful smile. I laugh and throw it back just as he throws another one that hits my forehead. We both laugh an the bell rings marking the end of lunch. After school he pulls me aside. And asks....
