My morning classes went by so slow. All that I wanted to do was get to lunch so I could see Max again. I walk into lunch and sit at my usual table. I was the first one to arrive at my table. Max walks in and sees me and sits next to me.
"Hey. I have a quick very random question." he says with a smile.
"Okay....?" I say confused.
"Who is Alex from Target?"
"Oh, he's just some guys who works at a Texas target who some girl took a picture of and put it on Twitter. But a cooler person than him is Stuwart from Google. You have to look him up! Promise you will?"
"Promise." He says getting up to go sit with his friends.
"Pinky promise?" I say putting my pinky out.
"Pinky promise." He replies with a smile locking pinkies with me.
He goes and sits with his friends just as mine sit down. "What was that all about?" Marin and Maddie ask at the same time. They laugh then look at me for an answer.
"Oh nothing. He just wanted to know about Alex from Target." I reply with a smile. We all eat and have random conversations. Multiple times I glance up and see Max looking at me. Every time I catch him, he gives me his big goofy smile that I love so much. I just wish that our relationship would keep moving.
After lunch is over he looks up and smile at me as he turns to walk the other way. Not before handing me a note to meet him in the band room after school. Sixth and seventh hours went soooooo slow. But I was counting down the minutes until I was to meet Max after school so that might have made it go slower. After the final bell rings a race to my locker and spend a few minutes there composing myself before I go to meet him. I walk into the band room and he is standing there waiting for me. He grabs my hand and pulls me into the Bari closet.
"Allie" he starts "Would you like to go to dinner and a movie with me Saturday night?"
Was this really happening? I cannot believe it. "Sure! What time?" I say in complete shock.
"I will pick you up at say 6 o'clock tomorrow?"
"Yep sounds good to me!"
"Cool" he says turning to leave. "I will see ya then." Then leaves as follow him out and he hold the door for me. I smile and head it to Maddie's car so she can give me a ride home again.
"Ya know," she says as I get in the car, "if you are always going to be late, Max might as well just give you a ride home."
"How did you know I was with Max?"
"Becasue whenever you just talked to him you always have this big goofy grin on your face. So what did he want to talk about today?" Maddie replies with a smirk.
"Well I may or may not have a date with him tomorrow night..." I say with a smile.
"OMG" Maddie screams, "I want to hear all about it! You have to call me Sunday no matter what and tell me everything!"
"Okay I will!" I say getting out if the car. I walk inside and straight up to my room. I flop on the bed and think about what tomorrow will be like. I can't wait.
