7: Cradles

Lucas's pov...
Me: "I was wondering, if you'd like to go to homecoming with me?" I scratched the back of my head nervously. Hopefully this is not a plastic dream. My heart ached rapidly...

Lisa: "Sure, I'd love to." She had a big smile.

Me: "For real???"

Lisa: "Yeah, you've been so nice to me ever since I came to this school. You seem loyal and full of dignity. I've never really had a true friend like you. Ever." She gave me a hug out of the blue.

Lisa: "Thank you."

Me: "No, thank you." I kissed her cheek and she let go of the hug.

Lisa: "Bye."

Me: "Bye." I began to walk away from her house. She came from behind me and kissed me back on the cheek. She didn't say anything and walked back to her house. I couldn't stop smiling and thinking about her. I got home after a few minutes and my mom had just got home from going to the grocery store.

Mom: "Hey hun."

Me: "Hey mom." We both walked into the house and headed up to my room. I went to finish the rest of my homework.

Mom: "Lucas, you hungry?"

Me: "Nah."

Mom: "You've been smiling all afternoon, whats going on?" She smirked.

Me: "Nothing."

Mom: "I bet its about a girl." I didn't say anything, I just smiled at the thought of Lisa.

Mom: "So it is a girl. Who's the lucky girl?"

Me: "Her name is Lisa. Payton made me ask her to homecoming and she said yes."

Mom: "Ouuu, I wanna meet her."

Lucas: "Maybe, one day mom."

Mom: "Sweet. Oh, and can you babysit Sabrina tonight?"

Me: "Sure mom."

Mom: "Alright, thanks."

Me: "No problem." With that she left my room.

The next day...
We were all chilling in front of the school. Me, Alessio, and Gio.

Gio: "Guys, I'ma go ask Lisa to homecoming." He said as if he was thinking.

Me: "Uh, about that."

Gio: "What?"

Me: "I already asked her to homecoming."

Gio/Alessio: "What?!?"

Me: "Yeah. Thats right."

Gio: "What did she say?"

Lucas: "She said yes."

Alessio: "Isn't she your first date?"

Me: "Yeah, why?"

Gio: "Don't fuck up dude, cause first dates always go downhill."
