Kacy groaned as she woke up, her head in immense pain from the amount of alcohol that she drank. She was thankful that it was Sunday and she had a full day to recover. When she opened her eyes she looked around at the familiar surroundings and knew that she was in Derrick's room.

She lazily spread her hand around the mattress and found her phone so she could check the time. Once she summoned the courage to raise it to her face she saw that it was 2:58 p.m. and she had 2 missed calls from her mom and 4 text messages.

Kacy: I'm fine mom, I spent the night at Derrick and Damian's. I'll be home tonight, love you.

It only took a couple of seconds for her mom to reply.

Mom: Okay honey love you too, dinner will be ready at 7.

Kacy sat up in the bed and as the covers fell from her body she realized that instead of her light grey shirt, she was wearing a black one that felt big on her. She looked over towards the futon that was against the wall on the opposite side of Derrick's room and saw that there was one pillow and blanket lazily set up as a makeshift bed. She stumbled out of the bed as she looked around to try and find her pants but couldn't spot them, she walked over towards Derricks dresser instead and grabbed a pair of basketball shorts out before stepping into them.

Once her attire was situated she led herself down the stairs and into the kitchen where she was greeted with Derricks bareback and the smell of burning pancakes.

"You know, I don't know how you always manage to burn the pancakes." She laughed as she stood beside him and grabbed the flipper from his hand, "Go sit down."

Derrick followed her order and sat on a stool that was on the other side of the counter, "So did you have fun last night?" He asked taking a sip from a nearby glass of orange liquid.

"Yeah I guess, I mean I honestly don't remember much." She stated as she flipped two pancakes.

"Well you were definitely hammered, you even started stripping off your clothes in the car on the way back." Derrick laughed

The color from her face instantly drained, "No way."

"Yeah, Max dropped us all off back her but he said that Valerie had to sit on you so you wouldn't take your clothes off."

"Is that why?" she asked as she looked down at the clothes she was wearing.

Derrick nodded, "Once you got in the house you took off your shirt because you said it felt gross, so I gave you mine and then you just stopped in the middle of the steps to take off your pants."

"Did you put them washing?" She asked as she turned off the griddle and placed the huge stack of pancakes in front of her friend, leaving one on a plate for herself.

"Yeah, they're already folded on the couch."

Kacy pushed her plate onto the counter space next to him and sat on a stool so she could eat as well, she then realized as they sat there, how quiet the house was.

"Where is everyone?" She asked noticing the absence of their friends

"Damian said that he wanted to go for a joy ride so April and Chandler left with him at around 11, you were still passed out and I didn't feel like getting ready so were here." He replied already almost done with the stack of pancakes.

"And Val?"

"I think she went home with Max, who knows with them. I texted her this morning that we were over here so if she wanted to come over she could, but she hasn't texted anything back." He gazed down at his phone confirming to himself that Valerie hadn't texted him.
