Vigorous shaking woke Kacy from her deep slumber.
"Come on Kace wake up." A muffled voice sounded as she slipped further and further into a conscious state
"I'm up, I'm up." She declared as she bounced up and quickly rose out of bed knowing that Derrick would've resorted to throwing water on her if she took any longer to get out of bed.
"And this is why we pick you up first," Damian stated as he flung his body onto her smooth bed.
Kacy rummaged through her dresser and pulled out a bra and a pair of dark washed pants, "Weather?" She asked while walking towards her walk in.
Damian closed his eyes pretending to be asleep and ignored her.
"Damian!" She yelled throwing one of her sneakers at his faking form.
"Ow, low of 68 with a high of 77." He replied as he rubbed the sore spot on his leg.
"I told you not to mess with her in the morning." Derrick declared as he grabbed her backpack from her desk and made sure everything was packed.
Kacy grabbed a boring pocket tee and a zip-up sweater before walking to her en-suite to change. She quickly removed her big white t-shirt and her biker shorts before replacing them with the outfit she had picked out. She had just started brushing her teeth when there was a knock at the door, she unlocked the door which allowed one of the boys to open the door.
"Mascara, chapstick, lipliner, and lipgloss. Did you want some blush?" Damian asked as he placed the items in his hand on the counter beside the sink.
Kacy nodded as she spat into the sink, "No that's fine."
She rinsed out her mouth before putting on her makeup products as quick as she could, placing the chapstick and lipgloss into her pocket after she finished applying them.
Once she walked back into the room both boys were gone and the shoe that she had thrown at Damian was now beside it's matching pair, both of them unlaced and ready to be placed on her feet.
She made her way towards the kitchen and saw both boys rummaging through the pantry fighting over which bag of chips they wanted.
"Come on guys." She commented as she walked out the front door and waited for both of them to get out before locking it behind them.
"Shotgun." She yelled as Damian was about to slip into the passenger seat.
"Oh come on." He hisses in anger as he slams the door and gets into the back seat, Kacy laughs when she gets in and sees the stubborn expression on his face.
Derrick pulled away from the curb and made their way towards their next friend's house.
"Oh I picked two books for this week, I couldn't pick one so just put the extra one in the glove box," Derrick explained as he drove the familiar route.
Kacy grabbed her backpack and opened the big pocket before removing two novels. She looked at both covers intently before flipping them over and reading the blurbs on the back. Derricks right both seem good, she thought before opening the first page of both books so she can read them. It took her a few moments after reading the first couple of pages to finally come to the conclusion that she couldn't choose.
She sighed deeply, mad that she couldn't make a decision, "I'll ask April." She commented as they pulled in from of her house.
The blonde in question skipped happily down the sidewalk before opening the back door.
"Morning guys." She cheered.
The boys greeted her back while Kacy simply handed her both of the books.
