just like the night before it had been chilly. the window was shut with heat blasting.
richie sat in front of the tv watching horror movies with jane until she passed out.
richie brought her to her room then went to his own.
completely submerged in his blankets he felt safe, but as if he was missing something. not knowing what, he drifted to sleep.

cold flushed richies body as the sun came up, although it was cold his back was covered in sweat as he laid on it.
something in his brain told him someone was watching him but richie kept his eyes closed anyway.
he went to turn over just to realize he couldn't move, his brain woke up and his eyes shot open meeting with a dark tall figure. he tried moving but every time he did more pressure went onto his shoulders knees and chest, suffocating him. he tried calming down.
'it's not real, it's not real' he thought shutting his eyes tight. he slowly opened them looking around, feeling like it had worked. but alas the figure turned on a light and stared, face to face, only inches away.
richie gulped.
he recognized the figure to be a clown, just like his sister said. the lights went out, richie felt the clowns warm saliva fall from his mouth landing on richies cheek trickling down.
richie shut his eyes and felt all the pressure lift. he opened them again, being able to move. he sat up.
'what the actual fuck.'
his cold hand reached for his cheek, he felt the saliva. richies heart dropped, he had never been more scared in his life.
he got up and ran to the bathroom. turning on the light he flinched. blinking his eyes, he was able to see fully that what he thought was saliva.. was blood.
"what the fuck!" he screamed softly, scrubbing his face with soap and water.
'jane..'
he ran to her room, shaking, he opened her door. and there she saw his sister sleeping peacefully. relief fell through his body.
smiling, he went back to his room.
suddenly his alarm went off.
'fuck.'
he had to get ready for school.
