                          Lance's P.O.V.

We finally made it to the Garrison, and I seriously don't remember it being this busy, but to be fair, I haven't been here in over a year. "Lance!" I turn at the sound of a familiar voice, Pidge. I see her running towards me, she opens her arms and hugs me. "Hey Pidge, long time no see." I say as I hug her back. "Wait a minute, did you get an inch taller?" I tease, smirking at her. "Oh, ha ha, very funny, Lance." She says, lightly pushing me away, despite that she's smiling, and she punches my arm. Ow. "LANCE, KEITH!" We both turn around and before we know it, our guts are getting squeezed out. "I missed you guys!" Hunk says tearing up. "I mean, Lance, you always pop in and say hi every week but still. I missed you Keith." "I missed you two, Hunk." Keith says. "Hunk. Need. To. breath. Please." Pidge says. "Oh sorry." Hunk says as he puts us down. "Hey, Lance, it's good to see you again." A familiar voice comes from behind me. I turn around and see Shiro. "Shiro!" I exclaim. I hug him, he hugs me back. "Hey, um.. Shiro can I.. talk to you.. alone?" I ask him. "Sure, Lance."

We walk away from the others to an area in the garrison with not much people around. "What's going on Lance, you feeling ok?" Shiro asks.
"Yes... no, I think... I think there's something wrong with me."
"What do you mean?"
"I... you know that 'rivalry' I had with Keith?"
"Yes?"
"Well, I think I'm starting to hate him again, butIdon'twantto!"
"Hold on, slow down, why do you think that your starting to hate him 'again'?"
"Well.." I thought back to when the two of us where playing with Sylvio and Nadia. "Last night, me and him were playing with my niece and nephew, I started feeling this pain in my chest, it happened again when he decided to stay over and every time he looks at me, it feels like my chest is going to explode."
Shiro started laughing.
"Lance, haha, was there any other time you felt that pain in your chest, think very careful."
I thought long and hard, and I still didn't understand, then I remembered when I felt that way for Allura... wait... hold on.
"Got anything, Lance?" Shiro asked, probably noticing the shocked look on my face.
"But, I loved- love Allura, she is- was smart, beautiful, caring and passionate with everything she does.. did, I couldn't possibly find someone else, and Keith's.. Keith and a guy!" I shout.
"Lance, it's ok to move on and fall for someone else, especially since it's been a year. And also is there really anything wrong with Keith being a guy?" Shiro asks.
"Yes, I mean no! I-I don't know, I'm a guy, not that there's anything wrong with being gay, it's just that... I've been straight my whole life, it doesn't make sense that my sexuality would just change like that r-right?"
"Lance, feelings change with time, you never stop changing as a person, no matter what that change might be, it's up to you if you're willing to accept that change."
I thought for a moment and the said "I- I need time."
"That's ok Lance, it took me a while to accept my sexuality as well."
"Thanks, Shiro."
"You're welcome."
We hugged afterwards and we went to met back up with the others.
