Lance's P.O.V.

"I said 'sure'." Oh my god, Keith said yes.
"All right, I'll pay, It's on me." He says.
"You sure?" Keith asks. "I do have my wallet with me."
"It's fine, really." I told him.

He held the door open for me and we walked in and ordered our coffee and sat down at a table that is in front of a large window. It looks like your typical first date from a movie or something, not that this is a date. We had to leave Cosmo out side. No dogs allowed.
"So how has helping the galaxy been so far?" I ask.
"It's been going good, the names of galra have been, well, slowly but surely being restored in a lot of place, not everyone trusts them yet but it's getting there." Keith tells me.
"Why is it taking awhile, haven't the galra been helping?" I ask.
"Some have, but some have also been trying to undo the things we've been doing, even if they weren't, reforming a race that has been tormenting almost the entire galaxy isn't going to happen over night, people are going to have trust issues." He tells me with a sad look on his face.
"Right..." I mumble.
"So how have you been, Lance?" Keith asks me.
Oh great, what am I supposed to tell him,
'oh, I've been moping around my house the entire time.' That's great.
"I've.. been doing great, I've... well actually I have helped Pidge's mom plant juniberry flowers, you know the 'extinct' altean flower A.. Allura had, Pidges mom helped re-grow them in new Altea and I helped plant a few here on Earth." I told him.
"Wasn't that awhile ago?" He asks smirking.
"W-well, y-yeah, but it was still something." I said folding my arms.
"Have you been doing nothing after.. you know." He asks.
"W-well... I-" "I get it, Lance." Keith interrupts me. "When you lose someone you care about you tend to... not want to do anything... sometimes even wondering if you should even... go on." He says looking upset out the window.
"Your dad?.."
"Yeah..."
"I'm sorry." I tell him.
"Don't be, it was years ago, I've had Shiro sometime after that." He says giving me a small smile.
"That's a rare sight." I say.
"What?" His smile drops.
"You, smiling." I tell.
"I smile at times." He argues.
"Yeah, but it's rare." I smile as he blushes.
"Shut up, Lance." I laugh at his stupid blushing face.
He takes a sip of his coffee and asks. "Why not come with me a-and Shiro when we're ready to take off again?" He asks, slightly blushing again. He's been doing that a lot lately.
"I've always wanted to be a space explorer, even when I was little, but actually being in space, being away from my family, I missed them." I tell him. "As Voltron, we've been out there for almost more then a year and I don't want to be away from them that long again... or even longer, I want to see my nephew and niece grow up and you know cheesy stuff like that." I pull a small smile.
"That's fine, you have a wonderful family, Lance." He smiles sadly.
"Do you ever think you'll ever have a family like that one day? Y-you know if you want." I ask.
"Maybe, not now of course, I'll probably adopt kids out there probably, a lot of children lost their parents while the galra empire was still in control so maybe-" "So only adopt, huh, what you afraid of getting busy?" I tease.
"Well, no, I'm gay so it's not like I'll have any biol-" "WAIT, WHAT, YOU'RE GAY?!" He's gay?!
"Uh.. yes, you didn't know?" He asks.
"What?! No, you expect me to read your mind?" He's gay.. I have a chance!?
"Well, Shiro somehow knew before I even knew and Hunk and Pidge already knew before I told them, so I assumed... wait, why did I assume, you're an idiot."
"I'm not an idiot!" I shout.
"You were the only one who didn't already find out that Pidge was girl." He smiles as he makes fun of me.
"Can you blame me?" I ask.
"Yeah, a little bit." He smiles. "Also you almost got us killed in Garfle Warfle Snick."
"We probably would've been ok anyways!" I shout.
"Do you know that for sure?" He smirks as he continues to tease me.
"No, but we might have been."
"Also you trusted Nyma to enter the blue lion even though you just met her because you couldn't keep your thoughts out of your pants."
"Shut up, Mullet!" Keith laughs and I forgot I was mad at him. Have I ever heard him laugh before? It suddenly got hot in here.
"H-hey, Lance."
"Y-yeah, Keith?"
"Y-You a-and you're family wouldn't mind if I stayed the night again, right?" Wait, what?
"W-why, if you don't mind me asking?"
"W-well, y-your bed is a lot more comfortable than the bed's at the Garrison, and I want to... hangout with you tomorrow and I'd hate for work to distract me." He says he's face is completely red.
"Y-yeah sure, why not right?" I say. "Silvio and Nadia would love to see you again."
"So... where do you wanna go next?" Keith asks.
"You know what, the carnival is still open, let's take the whole gang, you know like old times, assuming no one is busy." I suggest.
"That actually sounds like a great idea." He says.
"All right lets go ask them." I get up from my seat with Keith following behind me.
"We can just text them and see if they'll meet us there." Keith tells me.
"Oh right." I stop and look at him, rubbing the back of my neck.

I text Hunk.

"Shiro said yes." Keith tells me as he puts his phone in his pocket.
"So did Hunk and Pidge." I tell him.
"Come on let's see if we can get there first." I follow him outside. He gets on his bike.
"Ok, sooo.. how am I getting there?" I asked.
"What, afraid to get on?" He teases.
"After the last time I got on that thing, yes." I tell him.
"Last time we were being chased by Garrison soldiers, this time we're just going to be driving to the carnival, do you not trust me by now?" He asks.
"I trust you, just not that thing." I half-joked.
"Just get on." Keith chuckles and hands me his helmet.
I put it on, get on the back and hold on to him, still not trusting the death trap.
"You good, Lance?" He asks. I can practically hear him smiling.
"Yeah, let's just go." Keith starts up the engine. The sound of it makes me hold on tighter and shut my eyes.

As Keith was driving, I opened my eyes a bit and I got a face full of his mullet, I pull myself away to sit up straight, still not letting go of Keith's waist, even though we were moving a bit fast, the wind on my face felt nice as my surroundings pasted by me.
"Are you feeling alight, Lance?" Keith asks while glancing at me for a second.
"KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD MAN!!" I shout.
He chuckles at my reaction.
