Iris Kuran was the beloved and treasured daughter of the Kuran Family. She was best friends with her cousin Senri, and was the person who could make him smile or show emotion all the time. She was drained of blood by Rido when he attacked, mistaking her as Yuki or Juri. It was revealed that Senri was so heartbroken and devastated by her death, that he never recovered and became the unemotionless and lazy person he is today as Iris was his most precious person/treasure in his life.

Iris is described as being beautiful even by vampire standards. She was a petite and tiny girl with waist-length chestnut brown hair that has a red/dark brown hue color and big sapphire eyes, that are described as breathtaking and beautiful to look at. Iris often wore the color blue a lot and is said by Senri to be her favorite color. Iris used an anti-vampire weapon: The Bloody Rose.

It is instantly noticeable that her appearance is strikingly beautiful like her mother and Iris had also been praised to have the same "kind and tender eyes/gaze" as her father.

Senri describes Iris as being very similar to Haruka in their personality: mild tempered, quiet and kind. Haruka also was said to be very patient, as well. Iris was generally a cheerful, caring and a rather comedic girl with her beloved smile. She exhibits a strong attachment to her close friends, especially Senri who Iris affectionately called "Sen-kun". Iris's overwhelming fault is the tendency to burden herself with guilt over her ignorance when she learns of other people's sufferings that they have kept secret.
