“Hey! Hey Rose, wait up!" I call out. I just catch up to her out of breath.
“Bloody hell Ami!! What'cha do that for?" She asks me accusingly
“What did I do?" I say innocently.
“Oh I dunno, maybe losing each other when, for some reason, a giant python was on the loose." Wait, what? What did I do? All I did was summon a snake, have it attack someone and have a conversation with the giant Python name--
Wait what?
“You wouldn't believe it." I say blandly looking at the horizon.
“What is it!" She asks eagerly.
“No, I mean you really won't believe it. Like you would not believe what I will say" We walk through the café and take a seat at a table.
“Come on Ami." She almost begs.
“You know what? I think I'm going to get an ice cream." I gesture towards the line ignoring her. I get up and walk towards the line. She makes a weird face. The kind of weird face where she knows I'm ignoring her on purpose and kinda puts one eyebrow down, brings her lips to one side of her face, and glares at me.
So I got my ice cream, fudge swirl, and her mom pulls up at the front of the café. And her mom, of course, asked about what happened in the park since she heard it on news.
“ Are you guys okay?" She sounds really worried and rushes up to us.
“ Mmhmm. "
“ Yep " Rose says popping the p.
“ Well I'm glad you're both okay. Plus, your mom would have killed me if you got hurt. " We smile and walk into the car going away to the now special place.
