Your POV
I sighed, loudly, as I pinched the bridge of my nose. "Do you care to explain how Isabelle..." I stopped short to stare at the soldiers in front of me. "Escaped?!" I hollered, throwing the nearest thing to me into the wall; a table.
The newest recruit stepped up. "We-we... We don't kn-know, ma'am..."
"Oh, so she disappeared into thin air? Is that what you're implying?!"
"Yes, ma-ma'am!"
I sighed as I pointed down the nearest hallway. "Find. Her. Now!"
I watched as the soldiers scrambled down the hall, searching each room as if their life depends on it; actually... It kinda did. "Hmph."
I shake my head as I slowly walk back to my corridor, noticing how dark the hallway became. "Ain't that stranged... Not..." I mumble as I stop in place, watching the shadows. "You know... If you want me dead, you can kill me now, right?" I state, pulling off a knife from the wall to my left.
"Thanks, you ruined my life and took what I loved. Now it's your turn to feel pain!" The voice begins to laugh as they run towards me, causing me to grab them by their shoulders and send them colliding into the marble flooring.
The person chuckles as they grab my waist to throw me into the wall before kicking my stomach. Before they can pull their leg back, I yank the foot, causing them to fall down, hard.
Someone growled before cold hands gripped my throat tightly. Struggling, I try my best to throw the knife into the chest of the person, them hissing. "Nice try. The knife went in my shoulder instead." The person hissed.
I reached for my gun in my pouch before firing it, this time being successful.
When the lights turned on, I saw Isabelle lying there, lifeless.
"Sorry, Isabelle, but I stole nothing from you." I said before walking away from the body.
