I wake up to a nice flight attendant tapping me on the shoulder.
" Miss, I would like to let you know the plane will be landing in 15 minutes." She said kindly. "Oh, thank you." I replied with a sleepy smile. I yawn and stretch up to the sky.     " Ha get it, to the sky?" I'm in the sky. Okay, that was bad." Anyway, I begin to fold up my blanket, neck pillow and put it in my carry on bag. I take a look outside the window as we're approaching the airport.

I began to look further out to appreciate the way "home" looks. I've really missed Hawaii. I start to get really excited thinking about seeing mom again. Without realizing it, I have a my huge goofy smile plastered on my face thinking about mom when I noticed I was being stared at from the passengers, 2 seats in front of me. They both exchange looks with little grins. "Well that's embarrassing." I think as I scoot farther down in my seat.

Over the planes speakers from the pilot explain how we're approaching the airport and to remember to remain our seat and buckle seat belts.
My heart starts to beat out of my chest in excitement as we began to land.
As the plane come to a stop, the flight attendant tell the passengers that we may turn our phones back on and unbuckle our seat belts but to wait 5 minutes before grabbing our things. So I turn my phone on and I instantly get 3 notifications. All where from mom.

      5:00am Mom
Hey, sweetheart. I just arrived at the airport to pick you up.
      6:24am Mom
I know your phone is probably off. Just letting know I can't wait to see you!
      7:03am Mom
AHHHH, MY SUGARPLUM! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU!! LOVE YOU!!

"She's so cute." I smile to myself.
" Who is?" I jump at the voice I don't recognize. And then I look up. It's a man with auburn hair and medium height. " Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He said kind of giggling. "It's okay." I just realize you were there. I responded with wide eyes. " Oh well, the flight attendances said they're ready for us to get stuff and exit the plane." He stated.

" Oh thanks!" I said excitedly! He just smiled again and walked away.
I stand up. Grab my backpack and diary and excitedly exit the plane passing by the the two men who were still getting there stuff together. As I step onto the platform and text my mom that I'm head her way. I walk out looking around for her when I catch a women about 5'5 with long light brown hair. The biggest smile plastered over my face as I start to shout out " MOM!" She looks up at me and we run to each, dropping my diary in the process. She embraces me and I almost start crying while she hugs me tightly.

"Oh, Imma cry real tears" I say to her with my face pressed to her shoulder. She giggles at me and replies with " Me too."
She lets go of me and grabs my face and say, "oh, look at you. You've gotten so beautiful." I smile and roll my eyes. "Yeah, yeah, yeah." I to her. She just wraps her arm around my shoulder and kissed my head and we headed over to the luggage lane to pick up my suite case.

We check out my luggage as we head out of the airport. Then out of nowhere I realize something and I start to panic. "What's wrong sweetie?" My mom asked. "I can't find my diary!" I scammer around looking through all myself. Freaking out. " Well calm down. Where did you last see it?" She asked. "Right before I saw you." Then, I remember dropping when I ran over to over to mom. Then face palming. I dropped it at the gate. I said almost yelling.

She calms me down and we head back inside and we looked for what seemed like forever but no luck. My mom looks at me and says " Listen, it's way too earlier." You exhausted, I'm exhausted. Let's just go home unpack and gets some sleep and then call the receptionist later today to see if they found anything." I reply with disappointment in my voice, "okay." "Alright now lets head home." my mom says taking my arm and wrapping it around hers as we head out of the airport towards the car. I sulk the whole way there. But to tired to do or say anything.
