seongjoong.

"what is wrong with you recently?" hongjoong asked impatiently, slightly annoyed by seonghwa's behaviour. seonghwa turned to look at him but averted his gaze afterwards. and this annoyed hongjoong even more when the boy in front of him never gave him an answer.

deep breaths...

hongjoong tried to calm himself down and proceeded to sit beside seonghwa who was staring at the floor the entire time. "park seonghwa. if you don't answer me now i'll just sleep with yunho tonight." hearing this, seonghwa's eyes widen and his head shot up, glaring at hongjoong.

"s-sorry... i'm just feeling under the weather." seonghwa mumbled, shifting himself as he felt uncomfortable under hongjoong's intense gaze.

seonghwa's words caught his attention and he inched towards seonghwa, feeling concerned. "why? are you sick?" hongjoong located his back of his hand against seonghwa's forehead, wanting to know what went wrong with him these days.

"i'm okay, hongjoong- I mean- it's kinda hard to explain this though..." seonghwa flinched when he felt the warmth of hongjoong's hand, it had been a long time since they both sat together and talked. they were all so busy with their comebacks, interviews and tours that they forgot how to breathe for a second.

"hwa, please. just tell me. as a leader of the group, i'll take care of every one of you." hongjoong became more patient and his gaze softened, wanting to hear what was on seonghwa's mind.

this time, something about hongjoong's words annoyed seonghwa.

"hongjoong, look- I know you're the leader, but can you... ugh it's hard to explain it... well, are we friends?" the older boy ran a hand through his hair while having a hard time to say what was on his mind.

hongjoong felt amused by seonghwa's actions and chuckled softly. "of course we are, seonghwa. we've been roommates for a long time and no doubt that we know each other well."

"but the thing is... i feel something, joong. a feeling that i've never had before. and you're the one who caused this..." seonghwa couldn't handle it anymore. the jealousy he felt when hongjoong is being with the other members, the strong feeling to hold him close, the urge to be with him every single second. but he was afraid to tell anyone. so he kept everything in his heart. but now, seeing hongjoong so close to him, he wanted to pull him close. he wanted everyday to be like this.

"and what's the feeling like, hwa?" hongjoong was getting curious and his eyes glued to seonghwa, trying to figure out what was seonghwa trying to say.

"more than friends." seonghwa whispered.

"best friends?"

"ugh, you're absolutely clueless..."

"how would u know when you can't even tell me properly-"

"...fuck it." hongjoong's eyes widen when he felt seonghwa's lips against his. seonghwa began to wrap his arms around hongjoong's neck while a groan escaped his mouth, kissing him passionately. he wouldn't say this was a right thing to do. he might ruin their friendship after this. but seonghwa just wanted hongjoong to know. about his feelings towards him.

seonghwa pulled away, unable to look at him in the eye. he was afraid of what might happen next. to their relationship. to themselves. he can't help but feel guilty of what he'd done while he felt tears streaming down his cheeks playfully. he quickly stood up and wanting to leave, a soft "sorry" escaped his lips.

in that moment, a warm hand caught his wrist.

"seonghwa, you..."

"i love you, joong."

"..."

hongjoong was speechless. he was still shocked after all that. but a part of him... actually liked the kiss. his cheeks were burning, a shade of red forming on his face while he watched seonghwa's back. had he always felt this way towards seonghwa? maybe it was too tiring to be a leader, causing him to ignore his own feelings that he felt towards seonghwa.

"seonghwa... i love you too."

hongjoong hugged him from behind and he felt this tingling feeling. to kiss him one more time.

seonghwa couldn't help but to smile. all his worries were like the mist, fading away instantly. he turned back to hongjoong, wanting to kiss him once more.

but hongjoong did it first.
