Come now, you can't die yet. A voice said to me from out of the darkness surrounding me.
Why not? I said back.
Because my daughter isn't allowed to die! I snapped alert, wires and suction cups popping off, something exploded sending shards of metal over my head. I looked around, dazed and disoriented, trying to find the source of the obnoxious beeping tearing apart my eardrums. The door slammed open and three nurses and a police officer barged into the white room.

"She was pronounced dead!" A brunette with a nice rack said hysterically.

"Well obviously I'm not," I retorted, "can someone turn off that freaking alarm?"

"What alarm?" The officer said.

I looked at him like I was looking at a stoner.

"Are you kidding me? You seriously can't hear it?" I said searching around. Just then another nurse ran in.

"I heard the alarm in the the office what is going on?" She said.

"That's where it's coming from?" I said in disbelief. Then to my relief in burst Dylan.

"Sir, you can't be here!" The officer said but Dylan ignored him and came over to my bed.

"Sir-!" The officer started to grab him but Dylan tossed him aside and said something in a strange language and all the people in the room left abruptly without a sound.

"There, now I can help you." He said reaching for my face.

"Hey what are you-" I began but his hands gently cupped my face. The memories started to flood back but somehow he kept them at bay. I looked into his face and I noticed the alarm sound had died out.

"How did you...." I trailed because he well.......kissed me.

I recoiled, "What the fuck? Are you trying anything with me in a hospital bed? How low are you?"

He stepped back,"I didn't...I mean I......"

"Just get out!" I yelled. He hardened his face and stormed out slamming the door for good measure. I started sobbing into my hands. After a while I heard the door creak open again I shot my eyes over, expecting Dylan but no it was Tayli. My eyes softened and I sat up.

"Oh dear," she said, "you look like shit." I laughed at that.

"Do I?" I said.

"Yes, you look like you had the shit beaten out of you by an Angel."

I looked at her quizzically.

"How do you know? Are you an Angel?" I said shying away from her.

"No no no, you think someone like me is a part of those douche bags? Please, don't make me laugh."she said.

"Then what are you?" I said

"I am a demon." She had black featherless wings sprouting from her back.

"So like the devil?"

"Actually no. It is a common misconception spread by the angels but the positions are actually flipped, demons are the servants of god and angels are not."

My head began to whirl so I laughed instead.

"What's so funny?" She asked.

"I can't believe that." I told her still laughing.

"Fine, I'll show you." She grabbed my hand.

"What are you..." The words died in my mouth because suddenly we were on a beautiful plain. Flowers of every kind bloomed all around, the trees all were tall as fuck, and in the distance a gleaming city of silver and gold stood like an obelisk. The towers high and arching, the doors massive.

"What.....how....huh?" I sputtered.

She laughed again.

"Welcome to heaven."
