Chapter 19: "it's been so long"
Year 2017
"Naeun, I can't believe it's you!" His eyes sparkled in excitement.
To be frank, san hadn't been doing well ever since she suddenly left. His mind was always thinking about her, he was checking his phone often and it made him look like a madman that was too obsessed with his device but, he couldn't help it, he was expecting her to atleast text or call him. He was patiently waiting, however, it never came. His parents decided it was time for him to take a break and so he did, he went to japan not knowing she was there. He stayed there for a week at his grandparents' house and although it was a bit hard to get used to the language, he wasn't struggling that much since he knew how to speak and read japanese.
Now that he finally saw her after a year had passed, he had the courage to stand up and hug the petite brunette. "Uh san you might want to let go" she said, her voice muffled as he chuckles and lets her go, sitting back at his chair. He stared at her, thinking about how a lot has changed over the past few months, he grew taller and her once short hair was now nearing her waist, making her look more elegant than before. His heart wanted to burst any second now but he stayed calm and collected before smiling brightly at her. "you're still super pretty" he mumbles as his mouth agape, clearly thinking that this was too good to be true. I missed you so much naeun.
