"If you hadn't burnt the journal or the hut none of this would have happened!" Huma turned her venom on Yigit.

"You are the one who told me to pretend to be paralyzed!" Yigit roared back.

Can laughed, how could he not with the spectacle unfolding before him. It was like watching a snake trying to swallow its tail.

"Well, you are the one who tried to destroy Sanem's creams so that she could go back to focusing on the book and you!" Huma pointed an accusing finger to his chest. "You were only supposed to get Sanem to work with you to annoy Can."

"You wanted someone to help you destroy their relationship and when Polen left you turned to me. You are the one who pulled me into this mess."

"All I wanted was for my son to see that if given the choice Sanem would choose her ambitions over him. And she did. You were the one who complicated things. "

Can stopped paying attention to their fight. Their voices just buzzed about his heard, each throwing the other's fault into the open for everyone to see. Part of him was glad because he was vindicated, the other had thought about keeping the truth to himself for Sanem's sake. They took advantage of her, used her dreams to destroy the relationship she had with Can. There was nothing that could be done now, he just hoped that she would come out of all of this a little wiser.

Can watched as Sanem stood in the middle of the room, swinging like a tree in the wind. Her eyes were blank, her face even more expressionless. Her arms wrapped around her small frame to protect her from the cold breeze that only she felt. Although distressed, that didn't keep her from looking beautiful as she swung to the music of the storm brewing around her. Can took a step towards her, his body filling up space between them. He thought of pulling her into his arms, the anger that he felt made his body burn hot and he could easily warm her from the chill that radiated within her. Surely he could push his rage aside and reassure her even if only for a minute.

It was then that he thought of the feelings and things that he had pushed aside to reassure her. He had stopped being Can Divit so that he could stay here with her. The one time he had asked her to leave with him had backfired on him. He wondered if Sanem could love him as much as she did now if he was the Albatross who flew to all corners of the world wit just his camera.

The camera that never once lied to him, hurt him or abandon him.

The air rushed out of Sanem's lungs as she shielded herself from the cold that swirled about. She held herself tighter, shivers wreaking havoc on her body as her knees wobbled. Guilt threatened to send her crashing to the ground.

Her dreams had become their dreams, but somewhere along the way, when she realized that those dreams could come true she had pushed Can away. It wasn't intentional, she had done it without realizing it. Finally, she was going to prove everyone who didn't believe her wrong and in the process lost the only man who had believed in her.

Now what?

The words that she had said to him before he left haunted him. Every second that she spent helping Yigit was now a claw digging deep into her heart. She had broken Can's trust before and yet he had forgiven her. Never once had he given her a reason to doubt him, but she had accused him of doing so. Suddenly the excuse she had given him, didn't make sense at all. They were now at an impasse, a place where they loved each other but the trust was slowly withering away. He didn't trust that she wouldn't put her dreams before him again and she now knew that Can could leave her.

As if her thoughts didn't torment her enough she had to listen as her sins were laid bare as Huma justified her actions. Sanem was unfit to be with her 'precious' son because of her ambitions. Huma had summed it up correctly. Sanem had been blinded, it took Can leaving for her to realize that her dreams had not come true because Can wasn't there by her side.

How could she fix it? Can had told her time and time again that Yigit was in love with her. But she refused to even consider it to be true. Probably because it would affect her book being published or because she was blind to it. She hadn't realized that Can was in love with her until he said it out loud. Sanem didn't know Yigit's true nature, that should excuse her for letting the man Can hated, publish their love story, right?

Sanem got pulled into the sadness in his eyes. She didn't know if she could penetrate his implacable expression or tap into the reservoir of compassion she knew he held within him especially for her. Sanem knew that's Can's first instinct would be flight, which meant that hers had to be fight.
