"They're even more amazing than I thought!" Luke whispered poorly, glancing at the two siblings traveling behind them. Boman shushed the young boy, motioning for Leo to come closer.

Leo looked at the old man cautiously before coming near him. "Those people are the real deal. I know you want to hold them until you manage to find Perseus, but do we have the manpower to hold them?" Leo asked, doing a much better job at whispering than Luke. Boman didn't know, especially since he was unaware of how long they would need to be kept due to Perseus being off the market for the moment. "Yes, I'm confident that we do. If not manpower, we have plenty of poison and drugs we can use to overpower them." Boman said. He didn't exactly like using drugs to subdue opponents, especially because of the headaches that they induced. Leo looked unsure but didn't respond.

"Send a flare up. I want the guards to know that we are coming." Boman commanded Leo, who obeyed wordlessly. Boman was surprised at the lack of sarcastic retorts from the youth but chalked it down to Leo being a little nervous about the assassins walking behind them.

Leo pointed a finger gun to the sky and shot a bright flame, mimicking the sound of a gunshot while doing so.

An answering flame answered less than thirty seconds later. Boman reminded himself to scold the guards on their reaction time.

As they neared the castle gates, Boman nodded to the others as he raised an arm to cover his nose and mouth. Luke, Leo, and Charles raised their arms moments before Boman heard a thud behind him.

Boman turned around, expecting to see the two assassins out cold, but only saw the girl, sprawled on the ground. The boy's hair was flowing around him in a weird way, as he dropped the monster's remains he had been lugging around and reached for his sister. Once the girl was in his grasp, he looked up at Boman angrily before opening his mouth to say something, only to fall over unconscious a second later.

Boman heard the snickering of the two younger Princes as they came out of the shrubbery. They wore gas masks and the older one held a dart gun as he shook his head disapprovingly. "This stuff is even stronger than what took his sister down. He should've just fainted the first time." Travis mumbled, disappointed that the gas hadn't worked perfectly.

"You guys couldn't have taken them out closer to the gate?" Luke complained after his younger brother provided him with a gas mask. "The girl I can deal with but the guy looks like he eats her weight three times a day," Leo said after putting on his gas mask. Charles rolled his eyes. "Better start moving then."

This so-called god was shrunken and lame. He was deformed and burly, and his face was hairy and twisted into an expression of permanent anger. Or maybe it was simple annoyance at the disruption that Reyna and Percy caused. Percy didn't think he looked like much, but from what Reyna had told him about this god, was that he made powerful weapons and was apparently immune to fire.

"My lord, may I present you to Percy Jackson. Percy Jackson, this is Lord Vulcan, god of Fire and the Forge." Reyna introduced.

The god didn't turn to look at them as he continued beating some miserable slab of metal with his enlarged hammer. "I suspect you are here to find out who's offspring you are?" He said. "Yes, he is my lord," Reyna said. "I asked the boy, daughter of Bellona, not of you." Vulcan snapped. The ground rumbled in response to his anger, and Reyna looked panicked. "I sincerely apologize," Reyna said quickly before giving Percy a pointed look.

"Um, yes I am." I guess. Percy wanted to add. Vulcan sighed before his working ceased and he turned. His head had a tuff of brown har and unkempt facial hair. His eyes were brown and agitated as he scrutinized Percy's larger frame.

Something in the god's eyes flickered. He blinked twice before turning away again. "He's the offspring of Poseidon," Vulcan said before turning back around. "He is not one of you, but at the same time, he is."

"Poseidon was one of the Greek gods. Why is his son able to read Latin?" Reyna asked. "Who is Poseidon supposed to be?" Percy inquired. "Greek god of the sea. He has other domains, but being the sea god and 'Earthshaker' is what he was well known for. Roman's would recognize him more as Neptune." Reyna said, her mouth forming a tight line. Neptune? Ugh, Percy hated that planet. The people are rude, the service is crap, and it was way too difficult to kill his target which substituted skin with ice. The target is dead now, but it was still hard.

"So, you're a Greek. This won't sit well with the Senate." Reyna murmured.  Vulcan gave a distasteful laugh. "Chaos has captured the Roman and Greek gods. The enemy of your enemy is your friend."

Or another enemy. Percy said, thinking of his assignment. Killing the target is easy, he couldn't wrap his head around the rest of it. This whole being the son of a 'god' was one thing, but he was more concerned with how he was leaving the planet. After killing Octavian, he could be sure of backlash. He was singled out almost immediately, so staying low was out of the question.

I'm an assassin. My whole purpose is to lay low. How am I going to kill someo-- okay I know now. Percy said. If you can't stay low with an assassination, make it as flashy as possible.

"Did I hear something about a Senate?" Percy asked. "Yes. I, as Praetor, am the leader. There are two praetors, but my partner is no longer with us. The Senate, myself being a member, discuss issues with war tactics and war in general." Reyna explained. "What, do they not like geeks?'' Percy asked. "No, as some of them are seasoned Romans, they don't like Greeks." Reyna corrected him. "Then why not say I'm the son of Neptune? Unless we Greeks have a distinctive look." Percy said.

"Well, I was going to do that anyway. The last Greek we had was executed-- under Octavian's orders. He already seems to hate you, telling him you're Greek will only give him more drive to see you dead." Reyna said. It seems that Percy wasn't the only one who wanted to kill Augusta. "It doesn't take much for someone to be motivated to take another life if they had planned so to do it anyway. I don't like that boy, but even my word is weak against his." Vulcan said, before turning and resuming his work. "Leave me, you have your answers now." The grumpy god said.

And that's it! Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this part despite the long wait for it.
