Chapter Five
Christian
He was enjoying her shame far too much. As he followed her up the stairs he couldn't help, but wonder at this girl. 'She's so out there. What makes her so interesting?'
"This is it," she said while she opened the ancient door. Christian almost expected it to make that creepy creaking noise from scary movies, but it swung on it's hinges with no complaints.
Her room was very unique. The walls were a dark red color, making her room appear exotic. Her bed was covered in a patchwork quilt that had seen better days, and it seemed that every surface of her room was covered in books.
Every surface, the desk, under her bed, chairs, even the window sill.
'Wow, she could start her own bookstore,' he wondered.
"So I take it you like to read?" he asked sarcastically.
"Maybe a little," she grinned flashing him a glowing smile. You could tell she wasn't embarrassed by her pass time. Some girls he knew would hate for someone to found out that they were book smart.
"What's your favorite kind?" he asked pretty sure he knew the answer. 'romance,' he would have bet money on it.
"Well that's not really an easy question." she said thoughtfully.
"Oh really? Why is that?" she shrugged her shoulders, "Honestly, I love any book that can get my attention. I don't care if it's action, sci-fi, mystery, comedy, or even a romance. If it had me engrossed in it completely. Then, I'm sold."
As she spoke, Christian could see the passion shining in her eyes. 'She really does love books,' then the thought came to him.
"Why don't you try writing your own books," he suggested thinking that despite how much it annoyed him, he would have to get what he had come for.
Her eyes got big and she started, "um...yeah...maybe," her eyes glanced over at her laptop. 'Bingo!'
He grinned, thinking quickly 'if I can get her out of the room, I can hack the computer and get her latest drafts, and be done with this business.'
"Do you have anything to eat?" he asked casually.
"Um..." she wrinkled her nose, as she thought.
"I think so let me go check," she offered getting up and heading for the door.
"Ok, that sounds good." he said as she closed the door.
As soon as her footsteps faded down the stairs, he jumped up and ran to her computer. He opening it up, and waiting for it to turn on. His heart was pounding feeling like at any second she could come through the door.
After what seemed like a lifetime of waiting the locked screen came on asking for a password. 'Crap,' he hadn't thought about her having it locked.
He clicked on the hint button, "quote-scratching could not make it worse, twere such a face as yours were." Christian grinned, doing a silent victory dance.
It was Shakespeare. He quickly typed in Beatrice. It was accepted, and began opening up. The screen came on showing a picture of very nice mustang, he grinned. 'a girl after my own heart,' he searched quickly for the appropriate icon.
"How does pizza pockets sound?" Reagan's voice came from below. Startling him, his pulse skyrocketed.
"Brilliant!" He shouted. 'ok I have got to calm down,' he chided. 'I could have a heart attack,'
