"You don't seem to excited about it."
I quickly shook my head. "No, I am I am. I just can't believe it. Like, we're really about to be high school graduates in a year."
"I swear!" Kenz chimed in from the backseat. "All this morning I was thinking to myself, like, we're really about to be visiting colleges this weekend."
Although I had a clear idea of what school I wanted to go, my mom, Kenz, and I were heading to Texas tonight to check out its' campus tomorrow. After Texas, we were visiting the college that Kenz wanted to go to in Louisiana.
I also wanted to go to a college in Louisiana, but I've been leaning a lot more towards Texas recently.
"My girls are about to be seniors in high school, and then freshman in college. That's crazy." My mom shook her head. "I can't wait to have a home to myself."
Kenz and I both scoffed at the same time. "You know you're going to miss us bugging you 24/7."
"You guys are still going to be bugging me 24/7 even being hours away."
"I'm glad you know that."
As the conversation died down, my phone vibrated in my hand. Looking down, I seen that it was a text from my baby.

we're coming. was stuck in traffic a little bit.Knowing him, he and Amere were probably posted up on his car in the student parking lot, looking like lost puppies without McKenzie and I.
Poor babies.
Honestly, I thank God for Angel every night. This young man has been such a blessing in my life and opened my eyes to so many things I never knew existed about myself. Never would I have imagined that I would love somebody the way that I love him.
And the best part about it is that he loves me just as much in return.
Pulling up to school, Kenz and I grabbed our things and climbed out of the car.
"I'll be home by six so we can leave as soon as I get there. Make sure you guys go straight home after school, pack up everything you need for the weekend because I'm not turning around once we head to the airport."
"Okay, ma."
She raised her eyebrow at the both of us. "Okay. Don't say I didn't warn you girls. Have a good day at school. I love y'all, and I'll see y'all later."
