Angelica's P.O.V.

"So that's the reason why you are like that before?" he asked. I nodded with that trying my best to not let my tears fall down.

40 minutes is all we have. Just the thought of these 40 minutes will hurt him big time makes me feel the pain too. I look at him, he's just smiling at me. How can he still smile like that?

"Why are you smiling?" I ask him.

"We shouldn't be sad in this 40 minutes, this is all we have"

"But the thing we'll talk about will just make us sad"

"Then let's just pretend we are now a happily married couple just reminiscing about our past" he said then laugh.

"Angelica, why did you chose to say those words to me than to say to me directly what is happening?" he said

"I know you Hugo, you don't know how to stop even how many times you are told to" I said and look away.

"Angelica I can't understand it, how bad your situation is for you to be like that?" he said sounding so hesitantly. I just smiled at him.

"You heard it right? My father doesn't liked the thought of me with you so he trapped me in this set-up"

"Angelica, America is waiting for you, the university you will attend is waiting for you, you just have to choose, you're life there in present or the life you'll have in future. Distraction is the least thing that you should have, he's not for you, you're up there and him? Think of it, Angelica Jane. You're the next successor of the Mendez'. Be smart"

It seems like I forgot where I am right at this moment. I am really confused with what Tita Calysta sent to me, who is she talking about?

Is it Hugo? He's the only guy I been closed to, but why are they too serious about it? To the point of underestimating him?

"It's Hugo Cruz right?" I looked at him and eyed him seriously.

"What's with him Dad?"

"Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?" he said, with that I sensed that he is mad. But, why? What for?

"What's your problem with Hugo Dad?"

"Stay away from that kid Jane" I knotted my forehead with what he said.

"Stay away? We're not doing anything that is wrong, what's your problem?"

"You're going to America!"

"And so? We can continue what we have even we're miles away from each other"

"You read your tita's letter right? Didn't she said that distraction is the least thing that you should have, stay away from him. He's no good for you!" he said emphasizing every word.
