Hugo's P.O.V.

She didn't look back at that day. She just stopped and continued to walk away again. But I know she heard me, that will be enough.

When that happened it thought me a lot of things, one is to be contented, to be contented with the time that has been given to you. Two, don't ever stop your life for someone who left, I know it made things for Angelica easier so even it hurt me big time I did what she want. Three, know your priorities, love life isn't her priority at that time that's why she can't choose me.

I am really thankful for Angelica, she made me see my worth.

Her letter awakened my senses up.

For Hugo Cruz,

If you finally get the chance to read my letter probably I am already in America. I just want you to know that not all those who want to leave are happy when they are leaving. Yes, I want to leave because my dream is in there, but I'm not happy knowing that I'm leaving important people of my life, you and my friends. Dad ordered me to cut all my communications to you, so this will be the last one you'll receive from me. I am sorry for what my father said.

I want you to know that you're not worthless. You're worthy of so many things, people just can't see it properly. Hugo, don't hide your talents, let the world know you, let the world see who you really are. I know you can always be more than what they think of you, you're great in your own ways. Don't let their insults rule you.

I'm sorry for my words before, I didn't mean those words. You always have a place in my life. You are my escape.

Please be happy. Continue to be the Hugo who is always happy, don't be afraid to reach your dreams. Prove them that they are wrong in underestimating you.

I will be happy don't worry. I'm always proud of you, please don't forget that.

I am always happy with what you can do, don't think that you are not worthy for me.

Please don't think that people should have the same status for them to be happy, for them to be together. Every one of us has their own right to choose who to love.

And if ever you'll meet someone who will be able to choose you and stay with you, and you love her, please don't hold back. I will be happy if you are happy, love who you want to love.

It's been 11 years since the day Shaina handed me her letter. 11 years, time flew so fast. I didn't even notice it.

But, there is one thing I am searching, the words I love you, she never clarified her feelings. I didn't get the chance to ask her. And for those years I been hoping to hear it.

I never heard anything about her for the past years, maybe she kept her life really private or she just have ways to prevent the information to reach me.
