Chp.10 - Can villains be part of a family?

"Lloyd?" Jay asked in a whimper. Him, Kai, and Zane were first to visit. All he got as a response was a groan. Jay kneeled down at the foot of his bed. "Hey buddy." Kai said, holding back his grief that it was really his fault Lloyd was in this situation.

If he was more aware than he could've dodged. Lloyd wouldn't have needed to do that sacrifice. They all could've stopped Maya. But then Kai thought. It couldn't have been his mother, for one she's dead. For two, shes not brunette. Finally three, she has blissful amber eyes. Not blue.

A thought dawned on the red ninja. Wait a minute.. they're father had brunette hair like her's (ik he has black hair but seriously. This is so it can have some sort of logic) Blue eyes like hers.. holy crap. Was he related to her? In some way? Were they.. no. Siblings?!

"Kai?" Zane asked. Making the brunette snap out of his thoughts. "I can tell you're thinking about something. Is it Lloyd? Are you letting yourself down because you think its you're fault?" Kai knew his life would be better if he himself just believed that was all he was thinking about.

Kai nodded. "Kai it wasn't you're fault. It was Lloyd's choice to actually get up and help. But it wasn't his either. It was that women's. She chose to shoot the gun and try to kill you." Zane reassured him. Jay watched as Lloyd's eyelids fluttered open.

"Hey Lloyd.." He said calmly. Lloyd looked at him with curious eyes. Like he was wondering something. "How you feeling?" Lloyd opened his mouth to reply but nothing came out. Lloyd glanced at his mouth, wondering why he couldn't speak.

Lloyd closed his mouth and whimpered. When Lloyd was shot the impact of his head meeting the cold stone floor caused memory loss. But not total. He could still remember his friends and family. He couldn't remember the last couple days though. He was startled.

Like for one, why did he look fourteen? "Lloyd calm down." Zane said, noticing his moment of panic.
