~Time Skip~

(A/N: I'm trying not to be too repetitive with what happens in class, so I am just skipping to after class)

It was now time for the most anticipated part of the day, soccer tryouts! Our focused group of boys walked together to the soccer field. Upon reaching their destination, the boys headed to the locker rooms to change.

With Ethan not knowing when tryouts were, Justin had gladly lent him an extra uniform he had. All of the boys came out of the locker room in their old jerseys that were likely to be the same this season.

(A/N: Here is their uniform, don't pay attention to who its on)

It was to be expected that there were a lot of boys trying out. But upon further realization, something had caught Ethans eye. "Is she the teams manager or something...?" he asked, wondering why the H/C haired girl was at the boys soccer tryouts.

(A/N: This is what you are wearing. I just wanted you to be wearing something different!)

The rest of the group seemed to wonder what he was talking about before they peered to where his attention was directed to. They released a light chuckle before Ash spoke up, "oh, I guess thats another reason we talk to her so comfortably. She has been on the team for all of high school, well... sort of." With his unclear explanation, Alex explained the rest. "Well she was actually on the girls team for about a week before being placed on the boys team in 9th grade. She was too good for the girls team, she was placed on the boys team. May I also add, she is basically our star player!" He exclaimed enthusiastically while the other boys just sweat-dropped at his antics.

"Well actually, she was moved to our team because the other girls refused to play with her because they said she was always 'showing off' or 'acting better than everyone else', even though she was just playing the game to her fullest potential" John added on, giving the details of her transfer.

Ethan stood there, almost shocked at what he had heard. "Wow... do you happened to know what position she plays?" He asked out of our curiosity and interest about his potential future teammate. "She has always been able too play anything... but I guess she is often in one of the defensive positions" Rye spoke up, trying to remember what she played most.

All of the sudden their thoughts were cut off by a booming voice, "BOYS! and girl (he remembered), start warming up! 3 laps around the field, and... John! You can lead stretches" the coach shouted, gathering everyones attention. John only nodded and started running along with the rest of the pack of players.

It was quite easy to see how the quick run had drained some people of their energy already. 'I guess we already know who isn't making the team...' John thought while sympathetically looking towards a group of about 4 boys panting heavily.

They then did stretches, John leading them in a circle. Not even ten minutes later, the coach once again called out, "OK! Lets get started, shooting drills! Alex, you'll be goalie first, everyone else, you will be stand behind the cones and try and score! Go!" And with that, everyone one swiftly got a ball and lined up.

After a few random people went, John was easily able to score, a while after, Rye had kicked it perfectly into the top left corner off the net. Ash, Justin, and Ethan had all gotten goals, most of the others not being able to get the ball past Alex. It was now the last persons turn, the E/C eyed female was what everyone was focused on in that moment, most not realizing that the girl was actually trying out. Alex stared ahead, focused and slightly nervous for the girls kick. Since one practice last season, Alex has been just a little scared of the girls kick after almost getting his wrist broken.

Said girl took a small running start before pulling her leg back and kicking it at an angle that no goalie could react to fast enough to block. The ball hit the back of the net with strong force, as the girl had always done.

The boys new to soccer had stared at the girl in shock, mouths agape. Ethan, also having the same expression, couldn't help but smile slightly finally realizing why they spoke so highly of her. 'Wow! They weren't kidding about her being powerful! But physically! She's really strong!' Ethan though, watching as the girl made her way to the rest of the group.

Everyone snapped out of their dazed expression after the coach had decided the next drill, "now! Everyone partner up and start passing. Start with controlling the ball at a short distance with one touch, then keep on moving farther apart!" Boys instantly started pairing up with their friends and people they knew.

The group of boys began to split up, Rye joining some other boy he had known. The others teamed up with each other, leaving John and Y/N left to practice together. "I'll start if you want?" John stated referring to who would start with the ball. The girl just nodded in reply.

After about fifteen minutes of passing back and forth and at different distances and touches, it was time to do a mini scrimmage to see how people could play in a game setting.

The coach started picking positions for players he thought would work where. "Alex, you're in goal, John, you can be striker, Ethan, you will be sweeper, Ash will be right back. Justin and Y/N, you will both be midfielders. Rye will be right wing." The coach then continued with placing other players in their positions.

Once everyone was ready, the game had started, this would decide who made the team. "Ready", the coach said, preparing everyone, he then blew the whistle.
