The Betrayal

I woke up a few weeks after the Stormy weather incident feeling as if I forgot something. Then the wrapped present on the desk reminded me. It was Adrien's birthday today. I quickly got dressed as Mari tried to wake me up the way I did her this has been on going for weeks now.

After getting dressed, making sure I had everything, and getting breakfast I headed out the door. I'd gotten Adrien an incense set since he wanted one to help him out after we had a study session at in my room and I had some burning according to him it's quite calming. I'd gotten him some lavender sticks to help ease his mind a bit.

"Morning Ivan "I said waving to the guy

He mainly asked for time alone with Maylin since our friendship started, which I don't mind. I only tag a long when they just want some serious down time, but I really don't mind. "Mornin' birthday boy" I said to Adrien as he came up to the school

"Morning Lloyd" Adrien said

"Well Happy birthday" I told him handing him the gift

"Incense thanks Lloyd . What scent are the sticks?" Adrien asked

"Lavender for relaxing and sleep aid you've been looking like a zombie lately" I told him

(A/N:Believe me it helps a lot and I've had really bad sleeping problems since I was in middle school it's helped a lot)

"Really?" Adrien asked

"He's right so dude about that party" Nino asked

"He said that it wouldn't be a good idea" Adrien said

"Man your dad is such a downer" Nino said

"Maybe he has something more private planned later and thinks a party will get in the way of it" I suggested

"I doubt it my fathers always been a downer" Adrien sighed

"It's your b-day dude insist" Nino told Adrien

Over behind a wall I could hear Mari trying to psych herself up to give Adrien her present which is a scarf. "You know I'm gonna have a little convo with your pops" Nino said slinging an arm around Adrien

I sighed and felt that if we had an akuma today it would be Nino since this was not going to end well. "I'll go with to teach you how to properly speak to an adult" I told Nino who nodded

""Better not "Adrien said as a limo pulled up,"Got to go photo shoot"Adrien sadly said

"Hey send me a text if you need a laugh during the shoot" I told him

"Thanks Lloyd" Adrien said as he entered the limo and it pulled away

The whole way to Adrien's I gave Nino speech lessons so that way he could talk properly to his elders. Believe me growing up, literally, around older people will help with that even using a bit of slang is not considered an issue. Once we got to his house we got let in by Natalie. "Mr Agrest will see you shortly" Natalie said in her stiff manner

And as predicted the talk turned more into a lecture on Nino's end. "Leave" Mr Agrest told Nino and I.

Nino left looking really sad. I looked at Adrien who was heading to his room. "Sir I know that you may have Adrien's best interests at heart but please keep in mind his own interest as well. The last thing I want is for You and Adrien to end up in a situation like mine" I told him as I left

Once outside the gate I walked home to unwind a bit. "Well you tried" Gong said

"Guess we'll just have to see how it plays out from here" I sadly told Gong
