I couldn't think of where to go next so I said "You choose a place you think is a perfect place to explore." "How do you feel about jungles?" "I don't mind them as long as the snakes, frogs and spiders don't come near me. Why do you ask?" I said. Nived smiled mysteriously and said "I asked because we are going to the jungle next." I looked down at my clothes and asked "Should I change?" Nived looked my clothes over, nodded and said "You should unless you want a ton of mosquito bites." I shuttered thinking about how itchy I got when bitten by a mosquito."I think I'm allergic to mosquito bites so I'm going to change into longer pants and a long sleeve shirt." Nived nodded his head again and said walking to the door and out it  "Come on slowpoke I want to have enough time before dinner to go to the jungle." I followed quickly while saying "Nived you better wait for me or else I'll get lost and you don't want to lose your girlfriend do you?" Nived slowed his pace down and said "Of course I don't want my girlfriend to get lost in a place she doesn't know full of people she also doesn't know." "I know some people here" I protested."Name one person you know that's here off the top of your head besides me, Hetbanna, Ryma, and Axela." Nived challenged."Retlaw" I said immediately."Don't know him." "Of course you don't because he was declared Unwanted the same day I was. But no worries Hetbanna knows Retlaw. And Retlaw would never hurt me or let someone else hurt me." Nived asked protectively "Why's that?" "Hetbanna and me have known Retlaw my entire life. And our parents are friends. He practically a brother to me." Nived nodded seemingly pleased with my answer."Do you mind leading me to the dorm room hallway? 'Cause I forgot how to get there." I asked Nived. He shook his head and said "You know I don't mind leading you to the hallway that will then lead you to  your room." I kissed him while running my free hand through his blonde locks."Thank you, for being you Nived" I said when I pulled away. He flashed me one his gorgeous smile and said "What are friends for?" I smiled back at him and shook my head saying "Are you always so insufferable?" "Sometimes more" Nived responded. I shook my head and smiled at him asking "What in the world is your head full of?" Nived smiled mysteriously before saying "My head is full of your face of course." I playfully and lightly slapped his arm and said "That was a serious question." He bent down and kissed me before saying "And my answer was a serious answer." I responded with "Sure it was." And with that our conversation ended. By the end of our conversation we had reached the dorm room hallway. I walked towards the girl staircase and Nived followed a few steps behind. He stopped when he got to the foot of the staircase and sat down on the first step before saying "I'll wait for you here,but please hurry back my love or we'll have no time to explore the jungle together before dinner." I bent down and kissed him before saying "I'll be back before you know it ". Nived sighed and said "It'll seem like a thousand years before you return." "Nived." I said shaking my head in exasperation before going up the stairs. I walked quickly down the hallway until I reached my door. I pushed it open and hurried to my closet. Evilc's face appeared on the blackboard and watched me while I quickly flipped through my clothes in the closet looking for a long sleeve shirt."Why are you in such a hurry." Evilc asked."If you must really know I'm in a hurry because the most amazing boyfriend a girl could ever have is waiting patiently on the stairs for me so we can explore the jungle together before dinner." I responded quickly before finally spotting a long sleeve red flannel."This will do." I then looked for a pair of jeans. Ounce I found a pair I took both the shirt and pants to the bathroom and quickly changed. While I was changing Evilc asked "And who might this amazing boyfriend be?" "Nived Hcuoc" I said before brushing my hair, going out the bathroom, and walking to the door."Bye Evilc" I said."Good-bye. Have fun. And don't die" he said before disappearing. I shook my head, walked out the door, and closed it behind me. I ran down the hallway and down the steps as quickly as I could. As soon as my feet touched the step Nived was sitting on he got up and held his hand out to me. I took his hand and we walked to the front door and out it. We then ran hand in hand to the path leading into the jungle. Nived asked "You ready?" I nodded and we continued forward. We walked side by side down the path while talking."Tell me about your life in Hsoj Irama" Nived said."I wish I could tell you about my past life but I can't Nived" I said shaking my head."Why?" Nived asked with a devastated look on his face."I'm sorry Nived but I just can't" I replied."You already said you can't but that doesn't tell me the why Irama" Nived said gently. I sighed and said " I know. All I can tell you is that my life in Hsoj was complicated and it still is." Seeing that Nived was about to say something I put my free hand up and said "Please don't ask my to elaborate. Besides my past life is too painful to remember." Nived frowned slightly and nodded his head before saying "I understand. But I really want to know more about you Irama." I squeezed his hand lightly and said "I know but I can't tell you more until I know I can. Until then I'll tell you what I can about myself. Sound good?" He nodded in response. I smiled and asked "So what do you want to know about me?" "Everything really." "You won't let it drop will you?" "Nope." "I already told you I can't tell you everything and you still insist on asking me to tell you everything about me. WHY?" Nived smirked at me and said "I guess I have a streak of stubborness inside me." I huffed and muttered under my breath "You sure do." "What did you say?" Nived asked innocently like he hadn't heard."Nothing" I lied. He stared at me with eyes full of supison and said "Sure didn't sound like it was nothing." "Don't bother trying to make me tell you what I said 'cause it's never going to happen. My lips are sealed." "Stubborn much?" Nived asked good naturally."Very." We lapsed into silence until Nived broke it by asking "Do you have a phone?" "Yeah. Why?" Nived responded with another question."Do you have it with you?" I nodded my head then asked "Why?" again. Again Nived answered with  a question."Can I have it?" I rolled my eyes before opening up my purse and taking out my phone. Before handing it to Nived I asked "Why do you want my phone?" He gently took it out of my hand saying "I'm going to put my number in your phone so we can keep in touch when we're not together." I shook my head in exasperation and said "Well why didn't you just say so in the first place?" Nived chuckled and said "I wanted to surprise you." "If you wanted to surprise me you should have waited for me to put my bag down, then you could have taken my phone out and out your number into it." "It wouldn't have been polite to take your phone without asking your permission first." "You didn't have to ask if you were going to surprise me." By this time we were deep in the jungle. Spotting a rock on the side of the path we stopped to take a rest. I sat down on the rock. Nived sat down next to me. Nived handed my phone back to me while saying "Do you promise to keep in touch with me when we're not together?" I took my phone from him and said "I promise to keep in touch with you Nived." "Cross your heart?" I nodded and replied "Cross my heart." "Ready to go?" "Yep." On the way back after Nived had plucked a rose from a bush and put it in my hair, saying "Here's a flower almost as beautiful as you, my lady." "Thank you" I said while I thought with uncertainty I hope my relationship with Nived will last for a thousand years. I also hope that our love can overcome whatever life throws at us.
