It was a button to set off the sprinklers.
"And if you built this place you're stupid, because why have that all the way up there," He tilted his head. He looked like he was just drunk and was about to pass out. Everyone was too shocked to say anything, even Holmer. He started to attack Jacob who reached out a hand and slapped him plain across the face.
Holmer's hair almost flew off as he gasped. Doctors got involved and held down Jacob and tazed him. He screamed in agony as Holmer laughed and looked down at him. Then the doctors dragged him away while Holmer turned to me.
"So what, now you're in love with Jacob? What happened to Landon?" He smirked. Was I supposed to answer that? Because I didn't want my tongue to be cut out.
"I'm not in love with Jacob," I murmured.
"Iris Iris Iris, isn't Jacob too much of a bad boy for you, I see the way he looks at you and the way you look at him. You like each other, I know all about hormones and puberty darling. Especially for the boys," He fanned himself. Ew. Is this supposed to be a lesson? I started to have side thoughts. Do I have a crush on Jacob? I barely even know him, we're just friends, I thought I liked Landon, NO I don't like Landon he's my best friend. But can I have a crush on my best friend? Of course not Iris that's ridiculous- My thoughts were interrupted.
"Ah you see just like I expected you don't know who you like. Typical girls, it is either money, sex or 'the other guy'?" He lifted a hand showing each suggestion.
That was really damn sexist.
Sooner than later I was chained up in an empty room. The chain only allowed me to go so far. The room was bright with fluorescent lights and totally blinding. A few weeks later the door flung open and Toni was there.
"Oh Iris, you look so much paler and hungry. She handed me sandwichs biscuits and a bottle of water. I quickly ate, then looked at her.
"Get me out of here!" I screamed my voice hoarse and cracking. A huge lump formed in my throat and I bit back tears. I can't stand it here anymore. "Can whatever you claim I have even be cured?!" I yelled. "I don't even think so!Pills aren't gonna get me better! I don't even think I can call you doctors more like IDIOTS! And then you told me I'll be leaving in a month! Well I don't think you can count either!" I screamed boiling hot tears of anger flowing from my eyes.
I don't even know why I'm breaking down like this.
Toni stared at me, "there is so much you don't know that I can't tell you Iris. I'm sorry." She quickly closed the door and left. I sobbed and sobbed. The cold heavy chains wrapped firmly around my ankles. My head hurt after crying for a really long time. I crawled to the corner and flopped onto my side. I curled up and tried to go to sleep on the cold tile floor.
The lights flickered through my eye lids.
I quickly sat up having a head rush. I stood to my feet and adjusted the extremely large shirt I wore. I looked around the small room.
"Iris, why do you keep on moving it makes it harder for me to find you every night," The nightcrawler whispered in my ear. I closed my eyes tight and before I could think what I was doing tackled the tall skimpy thing to the ground. It's jaw protruded from it's mouth as it tried to bite me. I grabbed the top then the bottom and opened it as wide as I could. I screamed as it slashed me across the face. It struggled beneath me it's jaw snapping, before it stopped I stood and wiped blood from my hands into my white shirt.
It twitched a few times after as I crawled back to my corner and stared at it. The light stopped flickering. I closed my eyes and continued to cry. I felt the soft sound of a bone crack come from a fingers width from my face.
