Her Butler, Saved

“Chhhaaaarrrloottteee!!!” A voice chimed from my door, and I turned around, my eyes landing on Lizzie.

“Oh hey Lizzie!” I smiled and walked to her, taking her hands. “Are we finally having tea?”

“Oh no no no, I have something so much better planned!” Her smile shined bright, and I laughed.

“Alright, what is it?”

“I’m sure you’ve heard-- the Ice Festival?” Lizzie smiled, “I’m going to try to find him a present, and I know your his best friend, so I need your help!”

I chuckled, but nodded. “I’ll help, don’t worry about it.”

She squealed, and pulled me out of my room, and Chesphire walked up behind me. “So where are we going?”

“The uh, Ice Festival.” I nodded, and he chuckled.

“Have fun. Do you want me to stay here, m’lady?”

“Yeah, just stay here.”

He nodded, and  Lizzie dragged me out to the carriage. When we got there, she let me go, and I climbed into the carriage.

“Aren’t you excited m’lady?!” Paula asked, clapping her hands together.

“I suppose so.”

“Oh Charlotte--- You’re so much like Ciel sometimes.” Lizzie pouted, crossing her arms over her chest.

I rolled my eyes, but smiled. “No--- I think I’m more light hearted than he is.”

She nodded in agreement, and the carriage started moving.

When we got to the Ice Festival, Lizzie jumped out first, and I followed after, walking behind her with my hands clasped behind my back.

“Charlotte, look!” She dragged me to a booth, and I looked at the merchandise.

“Do you think Ciel would like that though?” I asked, looking at her. She thought for a second, and sighed.

“No… Probably not….” She pouted and kept walking.

We walked for a while, trying to find the present--- And  Lizzie wouldn’t accept anything that wasn’t perfect.

“Lizzie--- Are you sure this is the place to find the present?” I asked after a couple hours, and she huffed.

“Yes! I’m sure of it!”

I glanced at Paula, and she shrugged, and I shrugged back, and we kept walking.

We came across a toy booth with a toy Noah’s Ark boat in it.

Lizzie’s eyes widened, and quietly, she said, “This is it… This is the one.”

I raised an eyebrow, but didn’t question it as she purchased the toy.

The next day, I went to the Phantomhive manor. Lizzie was supposed to go with me, but she hadn’t shown up yet.

“Hello Ciel.” I said, walking into his study.

He looked up, and I could see how stressed he was. He looked back down, and mumbled hello.

“Difficult case then?” I asked, walking over to see what he was looking at.

I stood next to him, looking at the pictures.

“Little girls have been going missing in London--- The Queen wanted me to intervene, so…”

“Ah. Well… Do they have anything in common?”
