When I woke up the next morning – Eden was still sleeping – I couldn’t believe my eyes. I got a letter from the university of Barcelona, giving me the opportunity to finish my school – I still had 2 years to go till I finished it – there. Yes. In Spain. My heart stopped as I read the letter with shaking hands. I spend some time in Spain last summer and that’s probably the reason why I got this opportunity. I just couldn’t believe it. This was an amazing opportunity for me and my future, but I just couldn’t stop thinking about Eden. Eden was my future too.
I didn’t dare to tell Eden about the letter, also because I just didn’t know what I was going to do. I really wanted to do this, I mean, it was a dream, but I couldn't leave Eden. I needed Eden in my life, mentally and physically. I always felt so lonely when I didn't have him next to me when I fell asleep. I just couldn't do this without him. But he couldn't move with me to Spain. He lived in England. It was 10 pm when Eden grabbed my hand.
“Tell me what’s wrong.” He searched for my eyes but I just looked away. I couldn’t look him in the eyes. “You’ve been acting weird all day. Tell me what’s wrong.”
He held my hands in one hand, as he touched my face with his other.
“I..” I couldn’t get more out of it. I swallowed and cleared my throat. Eden looked patiently at me, giving me time to think about what I was going to say.
“I got a letter from Barcelona University, asking me to finish school there.” I spilled out. I pulled back my hands and stared at the ground, waiting for him to say something.
