My eyes widened and I quickly turned around as he grabbed my arm.
"The interview's over, thank you!" Eden answered in his cute English and smiled at the woman. I didn't know what she answered because Eden quickly walked inside. Wow. He just saved me from a very embarrassing moment, or was it already embarrasing? Yeah, it probably already was.
"Hi.." I smiled weakly at him when we were inside. "Thanks for.. what you just did."
"No problem." He smiled and leaned into me. "That's what friends are for, right?" He slowly whispered in my ear. My body shivered as his voice sounded so sexy. He winked at me before taking off. I had to spend all this time around him? How was I even going to survive this?

I walked into the room where I was guided to and saw every one of the Belgium NT standing there, waiting for me.
"Boys, here's our mental coach. Or as you all know her, Cato." Marc announced as he smiled at me and gave me a big hug. They all cheered and applauded.
"Welcome in Brazil."
"Thanks, Marc." I smiled brightly at him.
"Thank you for coming." He smiled back. "I suggest you take a little time with all of them alone. To get to know them, catch up, talk about how they feel about this World Cup, how they are feeling, etc. so we know how things are going. That's going to be your main job, as mental coaching and getting them ready, mentally, for games."
"I can't wait. Can I start?" I smiled, I couldn't wait to talk to my boys again and catch up.
"Go ahead." Marc moved away as I went to the first guy at the table. Jan Vertonghen.
"Jantjeee!" I shouted as I embraced him. "How's my favorite one doing?" I winked at the other boys.
"Cathy! I'm doing fantastic, especially after seeing you." He smirked.
We took some time alone and talked about how he felt. After him came Dries, Kevin, Romelu, Moussa, Toby, Thibaut, Vincent.. and then Eden.
"Cat." He said as he came closer to me. "I can get a hug too, right?" He smiled playfully at me and hugged me.
"You can always get more." I winked and pulled back as I saw his eyes widening.

We just talked about football after that and I asked him how he was feeling about the World Cup, at Chelsea, etc. After that, we all went to our rooms - I got a whole room to myself - to unpack our stuff. After half an hour - it was 6 pm - they asked us to come to the big central room for dinner.
I was - of course - the last one to arrive and the boys were already getting their food. My eyes quickly searched Eden. I saw this girl bringing him a drink, as he smiled widely at her, thanking her. I missed that smile.. Anyway, why was that girl showing off that much? Her breasts were almost falling out of her shirt and it bothered me. Eden had seen me arriving and smirked when he saw my jealous look. Oh, we're playing that game? I quickly recovered and went to sit down next to Dries Mertens. Dries was an incredibly good guy and he had always been an amazing friend to me.
"Hi!" I hugged him and glanced at Eden. He saw it. Bingo.
"Hi there." Dries smiled that cute smile of his.
"Congratulations on your engagement again! I'm so happy for you guys! Relationship goals." I pouted, knowing he knew I was talking about Eden.
"If it's meant to be, it will find its way." He smiled at me.
"I can always count on you, can't I?" I patted his back as we all started eating.

I was sitting close to Jan, Moussa, Vincent and Dries, so it was big fun. I was looking at Eden throughout the whole conversation, and he was pretty jealous. Of course I wasn't flirting with them, but I guess Eden just wanted me to sit close to him? Jan and Moussa kept telling jokes when Vincent asked me: "Is it hard, seeing him?". Vincent was the best captain Belgium could imagine. He was sweet, caring and understandable, but at the same time, discrete and observant. This was definitely his caring side.
"Yeah-uh.." I looked down and sighed. "Yeah, it is.." It was hard trying to keep my tears in, because I did miss him. I missed him after seeing him here.
"Hey.." He took me in his arms. "If it's too hard, then-"
"No. I want to do this. I can do this. It's just.. It's gonna be hard, at first, but it will get better." I smiled weakly at him, meaning what I said.
"I'm always here if you want to talk, or want me to talk to Eden." I was so happy he was the captain. As the mental coach, I had to choose the line-ups with Vincent and Marc and other people, so I was happy I got along with him well.
"I know." I smiled brightly. I decided I was going to be strong. After the World Cup, I was probably going back to Spain, so this would be the only time I had with Eden. And I was going to make it a damn good time.
