A knock at my van door stirred me from my sleep, when I didn't answer another louder knock filled my Gypsy. I jolt upright and looked over to the space on my bed near the window, the spot where I had placed the pup after he had fallen asleep in his bath.

I was releaved to find him still sound asleep, wrapped up in my pull over and with the blankets on top, I had basically swaddled him. I got to my feet and made my way to the door, sliding it open and then shutting it behind me once I stepped out.

"Moening sleeping beauty, did you find the Yautja?" I groaned, scratching my head. "No I didn't..." I trailed off, thinking about the different outcomes of not telling him about the pup, before I could make my decision Hamish was waving his hand in front of my face. "Hey you okay? Maybe you should get some more sleep before we all pack up and leave." I rubbed the back of my neck as I stretch it out.

"You know I think your right, I should sleep a bit more, I was up kind of late keeping a look out." I yawned stretching my arms and back.

"I'll let you sleep then, you might need it with that ankle biter you picked up." I froze on the spot, cursing myself for not speaking up. "I wasnt sure if I should say anything," I watched and Hamish stared down at me, I could feel guilty setting in over my mind, believing I had done something wrong.

"It's up to you, I don't think your father will be happy though." I looked through the parting in the curtain that hung inside my van, the Yautja baby, or pup in this case was still fast asleep. Looking at him I imagined what it would be like for a child to be taken away by social care and other similar situation such as immigration.

To be an creature of a completely different race, crash and then be taken by alien's and forced in to an apartment situation would be worse. "I'm going to care for him, It won't be good for someone so young to have a constant change of stranger's." I looked back to Hamish, a dead serious look on my face that refused to fulter.

His eyes seemed to widen slightly and my reaction and demeanor, "your completely serious aren't you? It's an alien and you are serious about looking after it, what if the mother comes looking?"

"I'll cross the bridge when it comes to it, but extraterrestrial or not he is still an infant." Hamish let out a heavy defeated sigh as he gave in.
"Your father isn't going to like it. Just remember I had no part in your choice and I don't know a thing, it's up to you, to convince your parents so I wish you luck." I gave him a smile and nod, agreeing to leave him out of my story I would be brewing up in order to convince my father.
After our agreement, Hamish gave me a run down on what to do and what I would need in order to care for the pup.

Once finished I moved myself back into my van, I pulled out my small table that was hidden within the framing of my bed, under that was a set of deep, easy sliding draws that held all my essentials. I began to write down key notes in sections of diet, health care, and other parts.

A gentle growl of frustration called out from immature vocals, drawing my attention over to the pillows near the back window. The pup was struggling within the fabrics, I stood and leaned over the bed, picking the pup up with care before holding him against me with one arm.

I loosened my pull over so he had my freedom to move, he then made motions of a yawn which caused me to scrunch up my face. "To cute!" I grumbled at myself in my head, trying not to get attached. As I continued to curse myself and forced my self not to staring with a goofy look on my face, I felt a tug on the end of black and blue dyed hair.

I looked down at the Yautja child, a soft smile made its way on my face untill a more rough tug forced a groan of displeasure from my mouth. "No pulling hair brat." I flipped my hair over over my shoulders with a swing of my head.

"I guess I should start thawing out some more meat for you." I gave him a soft poke in the centre of his star like pattern as I supported him in one arm, knelt down in front of the little fridge and rumaged around. "Lamb or beef? If you want pork you'll have to eat it while part frozen." I looked down, watching the infant stare up at me and reaching for my hair.

"We'll go with lamb, it's a softer meat." Pulled the packet from the fridge and placed it in the sink, I then placed him in the floor while I got changed to be ready for the day ahead.

Once I was dressed I fashioned a holder out of sheet, placing him in it so he was curled up against me and could stay warm with my body heat. I then pulled a black hoodie on to keep myself warm as well, looking at him I could swear he had already grown a little bit.

I brushed it off and made my way outside, ready to finish up the task.
