I walked down the main corridor on the ground level of the companies building, i held the pup against my side with my jacket around him, I could feel his little nail like claws trying to dig through the fabric of my button down shirt, while his knees clung to my waist.

He currently looked like a human toddler which is what I didn't want, but since it was unavoidable I had at least dressed him nicely with dark olive green pants, with a red t-shirt and black hoodie.

"Hey Kelly!" Man's voice called out to me, I turned around to witness him jogging to catch up, "You walk really fast, looks like the life of a mother is a good suit for your." I looked at him, confused on weather he was joking or not.

"I'm not his mum, I'm just looking after him." My reply was slightly stern to get the point across. I waited for the man i knew as Mike to catch his breath, he continued to huff and puff. "Jesus Christ did you run a marathon? Maybe lay off the fast food."

"Ouch, that was a bit harsh. Not everyone can look so photo ready the moment they wake up like you do." The pup let out an unhappy growl and began to struggle against my side, I quickly undid the one button I had done up of my coat and placed the pup down so he would wonder.

"You suck at flirting, so in future please do better so the pup can learn something useful for when he's older, Yautja have to mate, I would prefer he isn't bad blooded and show up bleeding on my doorstep one day needing help."

"Your pulling out all the stops today, what's wrong? The pup bite you?" I scoffed at his attempt to work me up, despite the bad flirting, the back and forth banter between us could be really funny at times. "He only bites people who suck at flirting with me," I shot a cocky smile, knowing I had won. He let out a slight huff as his face tinted with a dusting of pink, he ran a hand through his dark hair.

It was clear that Mike was now embarrassed by his failed attempts of flirting, I felt some what bad for shooting him down so harshly. "Practice makes perfect, I'm happy to be your Guinea pig when you need one," I softened my smile so show he had no reason to be embarrassed.

The sound of something falling drew my attention further down the hall as a kind of screech of displeasure called out, the pup had fallen from one of the plants that decorated the halls. "I better get to work sorry," I began to walk away but turned back to Mike, walking backwards. "I'll see you on the lunch break," I offered him a smile as he waved back to me.

I came to a stop as the pup attempted to climb another one of the plants, this time a large ficus that would upset my dad if it got damaged.

I crossed my arms as I looked down at the pup, I then bent down and picked him but not without fuss. He growled and gripped on to the plant, trying to drag it with us. "Let got big guy or your staying home tomorrow," to my surprise he immediately let go, the plant rocked back into position as a few leafs fell off.

I position the pup against my shoulder and made my way to the elevator, I pressed the call button and waited as the pup held locks of my hair in his small fists. "Good morning Kelly." I let out a huff hearing an older woman's voice but forced a smile and a happy tone.

"Good morning Angelique," I gave a slight side glance to the tall blonde in heels next to me. "Still playing mummy I see." She answered back to me, she two was forcing a smile and a "happy" tone.

I turned to the woman, still smiling and using a happy tone of voice, "It's not playing mummy when something actually depends on you, shouldn't know-..." I stopped myslef. "I guess you don't know that, sorry." I faked my coy tone.

"Yes well I'm choosing to have a career and not putting children second to it, I've worked hard to get this far and no use connection." She now held a smug look on her face, not bothering to even look my way.

"Is it a career you choose and not the only thing you can obtain? Like your efforts with my dad?" I fought off my grin and when I was about to laugh, thankfully a tug stopped me.

"You little bitc-" I cut Anelique off and continued. "You should try your luck with someone your own age, less you shrivel up." Bing the elevator reached the ground floor and opened up to let us on, I stepped in and turned to her as I moved aside as I pushed the floor number.

"I'll get the next one," she looked at me, her eyes told me she want to at least slap me. "Good call, if you get to close the pup might bite you, he doesn't like dogs." Angeliques jaw clenched tightly at my comments and her eyes narrowed. "I am still your su-" the elevator doors cut her off and began to take me up.

I couldn't help but snicker to myself.
