Shadow's POV

They came closer to me and I pulled my hood down, freeing the bird nest that I call my hair. "Sensei, Ryuu, Riku." I nodded at each of them. The twins nodded back while Kiosho-Sensei gave me a scroll, a black ribbon tied around it. This told me that it was important and needed to be kept safe.

'Hmmm, wonder what this is about?' I thought, my fingers twitching slightly, itching to open it and find out what it is about. Though my thoughts flashed back to a talk I had with our Kage about the truce with the Leaf. 'Strange.' I thought but shook my head slightly, almost not moving it at all.

Riku, the older of the twins, smiled at me and my lips twitched under my mask. These three and my 'father' were the only ones that could ever get a smile out of me. Meanwhile Ryuu grinned at me before skipping over and wrapping his arms around my small body.

"You took your time, we were getting worried." He teased, pulling away from the hug and going to stand back next to his brother.

"So glad that you have so much confidence in me." I mumbled, sweatdropping. I knew he was just teasing but I knew that they cared for me. They were worried that the blood lust would over come me and take over. It has happened before, after all. But that it definitely not a story to tell the kids.

My eyes snapped over to our sensei as he spoke. He has the weirdest hair style in the world, I swear. He looks more female than male, not that there's anything wrong with that. His deep blood like hair stuck up in random directions, though it came right down his back and his bangs went down to his chin. Like normal, he had his hair braided and just hanging behind him.

"Report to Leader and then meet us at the gate in one hour. We have a mission and all of us are needed." I nodded and did a hand sign. I appeared outside of Kage's office. I knocked once before entering. Though as I walked through the large door I ducked to the left, a vein appearing on my forehead.

"Don't throw things at me! I don't want your paperwork." I shouted in anger as I caught another piece of balled up paper, sweatdropping once more. I swear our Kage needs to stop acting like a child.

I shut the door behind me and walked into the middle of the room and bowed. After a few seconds I stood up straight. I watched as Leader gave me a fake smile. I could see the meaning behind his smile and it said. 'What the fuck do you want? And it better be good.

You see me and Leader haven't had the greatest times together, let's just say that we always end up with one of us trying to kill each other.

I popped myself in the chair and placed the holding scroll in front of me on the desk. The holding scroll contained the bodies of the rogue ninja I had killed.

"The mission was successful." I sighed mentally. I have been speaking so much these past days and I don't like it. I am normally the quiet but deadly one. My team always knew what I would say by looking at my face so they don't really need to talk to me and I don't really need to talk to them.

I watched as Leader picked the scroll up and placed it into one of his draws. He then placed a big bag where the scroll was. I stared at the bag then at him, I sighed to myself. He knows where he should put it.

He sighed. "I'm guessing you want me to put it with the rest?" He asked and I only nodded. I stood up from my seat and looked at him.

"I will see you once I get back, depending on how long this mission is going to take." He nodded and went back to what he was doing before I came. I disappeared in a mist of shadows and appeared outside my house.
