((Finally edited this and I'm pretty happy. Let me know what you think and if there are any spelling mistakes. Peace out x))
Shadow's POV
As I came out of the vision, I blinked a few times, my eyes readjusting to the sunlight. Once my eyes had adjusted I looked at my team to see that they were looking at me, worry in their eyes. I huffed and rolled my eyes, pulling my hood up as I turned and stared at the water. I don't mean to act like this but the vision worries me, what was the meaning behind it? Why was it haunting me?
Movement to the side of me made my eyes glance to the left of me and I saw Kiosho-sensei, the twins must of moved so that we could speak. I nodded my head in greeting and moved my eyes to face the water once again.
"Another vision? Was it the same one?" He asked, turning to face me. I nodded, he let out a sigh and faced forward like me. "Do you know what it means?" I shook my head, frowning beneath my hood. I can usually work out what the vision means but this is a strange one. "That's troublesome." I nodded once again, not feeling very talkative after experiencing the vision.
"What if the dead can come back? I mean, look at what I do. Bring spirits back," I mumbled, glancing at the summoning seals that were spread across my arms, my clans greatest secret that I now held. "Maybe it means that i'll be wiped out by the past." I said softly, telling my thoughts to my sensei. He sighed and shrugged his shoulders, signalling that he had no idea. Great help sensei, thanks.
"How much longer til we reach land?" I asked, wanting to change the subject. The vision subject was really bugging me, especially since none of us could work out what it meant. Though I think the tone of my voice came out colder than I wanted as I noticed sensei flinch slightly. I felt bad too, I mean he was only just trying to help me.
"A few hours. The wind is pretty good today for sailing so maybe even quicker." He replied and I nodded and looked up to the sky to see a messenger hawk, Kiosho-sensei also looking up. It flew down and landed on my shoulder. I took the message, giving its head a rub in thanks. It then flew off.
It was a message from Leader. What does he want now? Bet he had forgotten to say something. Baka. It read;
'I forgot to tell your team that after this mission, you will be entered into the Chunin exams. They are a few weeks after this mission, so don't show off too many skills and also you might as well stay in Konoha as the exams take place there. Don't worry I will send missions and the Hokage might give you some too. Also don't kill anyone from the Leaf....even if they are annoying.'
I smirked under my mask as I passed the note to Kiosho-sensei. He knew me so well, even if we bash heads at the stupidest of things. Sensei nodded, sighing. We now know that we won't be returning home for at least half a year. The joy of being a ninja.
"He means that Shadow, no killing anyone that isn't listed." Sensei said, smirking as he knew it would be hard for me. He slipped the note into a weapons pouch, probably to show the twins later on.
------------
The sky started to get dark and everyone went to sleep in their cabins. while everyone was sleeping, I stayed outside staring at the night sky, counting the stars. Or during the day, watching the clouds. Unless I was on an mission where I needed to be alert or I needed to collect information on the enemy. Lets just say that sleep and me don't go together, not unless you want me to unconsciously destroy stuff.
So far I had counted 300 stars.
'Child?' There was that deep voice in my head.
'What?' I replied and continued to count the stars.
