title: nervous hand-holding
Tetsurou Kuroo x reader
- - -
When the idea of holding Kuroo's hand first popped in your mind, you immediately tried to push it away, blushing to yourself furiously.
You were an overthinker, and that was basically your biggest downfall.
Every time you went to grab his hand, your overbearing thoughts stopped you. If he wanted to hold hands with you, he would've by now. What if he thinks it's gross? What if my palms get sweaty and then he thinks I'm disgusting?!
You knew how stupid your thoughts were, but you were just too nervous to do it.
You sighed heavily, your cheek rested against your hand as you watched your teacher tiredly point to another bullet point which you had already written down in your notebook.
Your eyes wandered over to the back of your boyfriend's head, his pencil in his mouth and his fingers tapping against his book as he looked out the window.
You and Kuroo had currently been dating for a month now, and you had hugged and even exchanged small pecks on the cheek.
But for some stupid reason, your nerves got horrible and your anxiety rose every time you even thought about holding his hand.
His head wandered back over to the board, before briefly glancing over at his bestfriend, Kenma.
"y/l/n, if you have time to stare at the back of Kuroo's head, perhaps you have time to tell us the answer to question 10?"
Everybody's head turned to face you as your eyes widened, and your body immediately froze up. "Go on, stand up and answer the question."
You slowly rose from your seat and scanned the question on the board. It was like the words were completely lost from your memory even though they were right in front of you, your nerves getting the best of you.
You knew Kuroo's and Kenma's eyes were on you, making you quiver in your skin. Your mind was blank, you felt light-headed like you were going to pass out.
"N-No s-sir, I-I-" You cut yourself off as you felt like you were going to throw up, covering your stomach with your arms, one hand covering your mouth. "I-I c-can't."
You fell down into your seat, laying your head on the desk and covered your head with your hands.
"See me after class, y/l/n."

Everybody poured out of the classroom, you could tell by the hurried footsteps and the screeching of chairs dragging across the floor.
