"Tommy, it is then." The blonde said calmly. "Come follow me." The blonde said, calmly. How was he so calm about this? "Alright, so we'll begin the tour." He patted my back. "The tour?" I asked, they had a tour here? "Yeah, so you can know the place a bit better." He replied back. "Welcome to the Glade." Glade. Sounds familiar.
We walked until we reached the classrooms. "Here is the classrooms, where we sleep and others. It's big so it's good for twenty people." He said pointing to one of them, which was almost full. "This classroom is where we sleep, and the other one." He pointed to the left and right classrooms. "This is where we have meetings." He pointed the one next to the left classroom. "Where we eat. Where we do the storage. And the clinic." In total, there were six classrooms, are they that many? "Oh, forgot to mention we have jobs here." Jobs. "Wait-- What jobs?" I asked. "We have the leaders, keepers, runners, sloppers, med-jacks, cook, and a few more I think." The heck? The things I only understood were leaders, med-jacks and cook. What the heck are sloppers? "Oh and the bagger." Bagger? "What's a bagger?" I asked, probably the weirdest one I heard. "Those are the ones that take care of dead people." Oh. Oh yeah. People die. Where do they put them? "They take them outside, to rot." The heck? Did he read my mind? "Anyways, how many are you anyways?" I asked probably about thirty or something. "Around fifty." I was shocked. "W-What? How?" I asked, fifty survivors? "How about you stop with the questions for a while, greenie?" Greenie.
I kind of forgot what happened next but I realized that we were outside the gate. "We have rules here. One, do your part, if you won't work, that could a problem for all of us. Two, don't harm another Glader, none of this works if we don't have trust. The most important rule of all: Never go behind the gates." He pointed to the gates and then stood up. "Find me if you have any questions, alright?" But I have so many questions. I turned around but he wasn't there. Then I turned my sight back to the gates.
Why does this place seem familiar?
