Dipper returned the pool. Mr. E welcomed him back with a slow wave.
"ICE CREAM!" Dipper yelled to the three other inhabitants of the pool.
"Woopie!" Mabel gleefully exclaimed as she shot out of the pool to attack her brother with the ice cream. Rickey however, stayed put in the pool with a confused look across his face.
Mabel dug through the plastic bag and took out the strawberry cup.
"Wa-what? What's happening?!" the startled, sleepy Stan asked.
"I just got some ice cream for everyone. Here's a drumstick for you." Dipper offered. Stan thanked his nephew and began unwrapping it with a smile.
Mabel yelled to her companion, "Hey Rickey! Want some ice cream?!"
Dipper added in. "I got you vanilla! You can have my chocolate if you really want it though!" he offered. Rickey sat and shook his no.
"Pleeeeease?" Mabel begged.
"You sure?" Dipper asked.
"Yes. I'm sure! Umm, thanks though!" Rickey said. The twins looked sadly at each other. Dipper was concerned in the inside. He didn't want any cursed-upon circumstances to happen to that Rickey boy.
The twins sat down on heir chairs next to their uncle and joined in on their ice cream. "Hey Mabel. What do you know about Rickey?"
"He's cute!" she responded with big dreamy eyes.
"Ugh, well besides that.
"He's dreeeamy." she marveled about again.
"Seriously Mabel! What do you actually know about this Rickey kid!"
"Well, he lives in Gravity Falls, Oregon. He used to live somewhere else though. Umm, also, I'm pretty sure he's our age."
Dipper thought to himself, "He sounds like a regular almost-teen boy. But, why he won't get out is suspicious..." he looked at his sister; strawberry covering her mouth. He decided to get up and ask Rickey, who was swimming the inside perimeter of the pool, why he doesn't want to come out. He could've at least told them he was lactose intolerant, if that was the case.
Dipper arrived at the edge of the pool. "Hey Rickey!" he said while he motioned for Rickey to swim towards him.
"'Sup?" he cooly asked.
"Nothin' much. Just wondering why you don't want ice cream."
"Not hungry."
"You want me to save it for later?"
"No thanks."
"You sure?"
"Yup!"
"You sure you're sure?" he asked again with a small grin.
"Yes!" Rickey yelled. "Just leave me alone!" and he splashed Dipper with water.
Shaking off the water, Dipper looked back at Rickey who was swimming angrily away. The boy went under water, and Dipper could've sworn he saw a tail fin!
