The light orange hue of Autumn flooded into your room, causing you to squint and open your eyes. You lay for a while in bed in the comfort of your warm covers. You think about what would happen if you just stayed in bed all day, but ultimately you decided against it. Y'know, being an adult now and all. Work. Money. The bills.

The bills!

Whilst enjoying your time at your new house, you realise that you need to pay the bills and so, you need a job. All thoughts of staying in bed are thrown out the window and you slowly get up with a groan.

'It's never that easy is it?' You think to yourself. You have to go out and get a job, socialise, earn money, keep your hygiene up and learn to adjust to the world around you. Sometimes that can just be too much..

Instead of falling into the usual sad state, you pick yourself up and walk into your bathroom. You looked like a Witch from the Salem witch trials, as you expected. You brush your fur and hair to look moderately acceptable and look down at what you're wearing. Just your usual pyjamas.

You get dressed and sit down on your bed, thinking about what to do next. The boxes beside your bed and downstairs remind you of what you should do next.

Unpacking.

You realise that you..kinda haven't unpacked anything yet. In fact, you were just surviving on two sets of clothes and a coffee maker. All your other stuff was packed away ready to be taken out.

You decide not to procrastinate any longer and open one of the boxes beside your bed.

You instantly cough after a cloud of dust waves over you. That moving company is terrible with people's stuff, you think to yourself. Or maybe it's just all your old plushies you had packed away. Either way, the boxes weren't going to unpack themselves.

About an hour passes and you have placed out about half of your stuff. You were exhausted. Time always seems to go slower when you have to do something like cleaning or unpacking. You were onto unpacking the last few boxes until your ears pop up after noticing a loud ringing noise.

You couldn't quite tell where it was coming from until you thought about it for a second.

Your alarm.

You had set an alarm on your phone the day before so you would wake up. You go upstairs and look around your bed. You find your phone by the side of your bed. You stand confused for a few seconds realising that the alarm isn't to go off now. It's set for 9:00 and it is currently 8:23 in the morning.

The ringing occurs again and you slap your face lightly in realisation. It was the doorbell. You hadn't really thought about that since most people just knock anyway.

You make your way back downstairs and open the door, kicking a box out of the way.

A frail old cat stands in front of you with shaking hands. Their fur was white and tattered and they looked like they hadn't slept in days. The female cat looked up at you with it's shifty eye and looked left and right.

"Have you been talking to someone named..Greggory Lee?" The cat asks in an unpleasant raspy tone. The cat gave off the impression that you had better answer her quick.

"Um..I'm not sure.." You respond in a slightly anxious tone.

The cat looks at you as if she knew you weren't telling the whole truth.

"You stay away from Greggory and Mae, and the other kids from that group! Be warned..." She said, pointing her finger towards you.

The cat turned and left, without saying another word. You close the door and try to make sense of what just happened.

What is with this place?

You shrug the old cat off and decide to keep it buried in the back of your mind.

'Stay away from Gregg and those other kids?'

You let this thought occupy your mind while unpacking which makes you take a little longer to unpack. When you finally finished, you look at the clock on the wall.

10:00 AM.

You think back to what you needed to do. You need to try and secure a job and you need to keep your guard up in Possum Springs.

You decide that it would be best to forget the old cat for now and focus on getting a job in town, preferably close to your house. Which wasn't really a problem considering how close everything is to each other.

You think about your options..

There was a video shop in town called the 'Video Outpost Too'. You haven't been there before, you know that the work will be boring but it might be just the boring job you need for now to get some money.

Of course there is always the Snack Falcon, which is where Gregg works. It's also not the most exciting job considering there are hardly any customers that stop by there.

Then of course there is the diner. It's a bit further towards the end of town but it's a bit more exciting than the others, and you've heard that Gregg's old friend Angus has taken up work there.

You think for a while before choosing...

(Heyoo again! I'm finally back writing stories and stuff! So this chapter will end on a branching choice that affects the rest of the story. This is a story of course and you can read any of it at your own pace, but I would recommend only reading the parts that correspond to your choice for the first time, just so you can have a slightly more unique experience before going back and seeing all the choices.. Anyway, thank you so much for reading! I hope your day/night goes great and I hope you are all feeling alright! Bye bye for now!)

{Also, each choice has a chapter that will be released on the same day as the others but it may take time ^^}
