I'm falling. I can't slow, I can't stop. Falling endlessly. I'm going to go right past. I'm going to fall past my world. My mate. I tear through world after world, searching for one that is familiar. I see worlds with towering buildings. I see worlds of only water. They are all perfect; all beautiful. I tumble into yet another world. On a mountain, a pregnant female, and a winged male are gazing at the stars. I try to call out to them, and reach a hand out. The woman shouts something, and the man sends a night kissed air towards me. It slows my fall, and I smile gratefully at them. I scent pine and snow. Throwing myself towards the scent, I crash into my world. Back into my body. Where Rowan awaits. My mate.

I awake from the dream, sweating and shaking. I've been dreaming about them more often. The Fae from another world that saved my life. Why would they do it? They had no reason to help me. I was so, so grateful to them, for bringing me back to my mate. Half a year after the war with Erawan, I was still haunted by it. Still had nightmares day and night, awake and asleep. Beside me, Rowan groaned and turned over.
"What time is it?" He blinks up at me, eyes alert after seconds of consciousness.
"7:00 sleepyhead. Time for us to get up!" I put on a false cheery voice, cringing at its soullessness. His eyes soften.
"Nightmares again?"

I shake my head. "Dreams. About you" I added, batting my eyelashes at him. Rowan angled his head, his gaze predatory. I kiss him fiercely, pulling him on top of me.

"I love you." he murmurs onto my mouth.
I hold him closer. "I love you too Rowan Whitethorn."

"She just fell out of the sky?" Cassian's voice is incredulous. Rhys nods, and Cassian's eyes narrow. "What if she was an enemy? A spy from Hybern?"

"She wasn't." Amren cuts in, "She was from another world." Mor gapes at her, showing all the half chewed food in her mouth. Nesta stares disbelievingly, and Cassian swears.
"Was she Fae?" Azriel's voice cuts through the silence. I look at Rhys. "I believe so," he says carefully, "But maybe she was a different type of Fae." I open my mouth to say something, but everything goes black.

I see a shadowed figure standing on a balcony. They are looking out at a bustling city with marks of recent battle on it. A young man, maybe seventeen, steps onto the balcony.
"Your Majesty, there is a message for you from General Ashryver."
Her gaze is unflinching. She steps out of the shadows. I startle at the familiar features. The golden hair, the stunning eyes, the beautiful face. Her eyes drift to where I stand. "Something... something  is here." She stalks over to me, and waves a hand through the air. I try to speak, but my voice doesn't work. Instead, I send a cool wind through the room. She gasps, then falls to the ground. The boy lunges for her.
"Majesty!" His hands prop her up, and I step away. I tumble down into light, and open my eyes.

"Feyre!" Rhysand's voice pulls me from my vision. I blink up at him. "Oh, gods, I thought you were dying." I shake my head.
"Not getting rid of me that soon." I say, trying to lighten the mood. Mor steps to my side.
"What happened?" Her worried tone makes me fully alert. Az and Cassian both have their blades out, siphons gleaming. Nesta is in front of Elain, whose hands are shaking. Amren is frowning. Rhys is holding my head up, and I am on the floor.

"I- I saw her." I croak, "The woman." Amren closed her eyes.
"A vision." she muses, as she sits down again. "Interesting." I start to ask her what, but Elain groans and doubles over, eyes rolling up into her head.

"Elain!" Nesta grabs Elain before she can face plant, desperately trying to wake her. Elain seizes up, and stands straight. She opens her eyes, and they are glowing. Mor curses.

"I-I see a woman. Surrounded in flames. She's angry. She's so, so angry."

Elain's eyes return to normal, and she blinks.
"What?" She questions, looking around at us gaping at her. "Did something happen?"
Ariel stepped forward. "You just spoke of the future. As a seer you can sense things, but that..." Words failed Az. Mor recited the words for Elain, and she shuddered.
"Can I go back to the river house?" She looks pleadingly at me.
"Of course. Nesta, can you come to?" She frowns, but nods. I grab their hands, and winnow us back.

I take Elain to her room, and bring Nesta down to the sitting room.
"Have you been training with your powers?" Nesta frowns again, but nods. "Good. I need you to keep practicing, but stay at Velaris. I want you to learn to make portals."
Her sharp expression makes me feel small. She had put back on the weight she lost, and there was colour in her cheeks. She was wearing a light but modest dress for the warm weather.
"What, like winnowing?" I shake my head.
"No. A portal between worlds."

I open my eyes to see Rowan and Adeion staring at me.
"What happened?" I ask, sitting up. Adeion shifts in his seat, and Rowan leans forward.
"You were in the tower, speaking to a messenger, when you sensed something strange. Then a wind went around the room, and you collapsed."
I start remembering. The wind. A cool, night kissed breeze.
"Strange. Was it Fae?"
Rowan shook his head. "That's the thing. If wasn't from this world."
