Humans.
They were top of the food chain for many years.
And being at the top of things, especially for a long time, can make people weak and cocky.
Ghouls.
The new leaders.
Human beings' natural enemy.
Newton's law of gravity states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
Little did he know, that that fact also applies to every little thing on Earth.
Humans were getting out of hand, with no natural predator, they were out-growing the space that they were given. So what did nature decide to do? Give them a predator.
Give them something that would speed up their deaths and make more room.
And therefore, nature created ghouls.
They were faster, had more stamina, and contained literal weapons inside their bodies that were made for killing humans.
But there has to be a reason for them to kill humans. And that reason, my friends, is that human beings are the ghouls' only source of food.
So now we got the predator-turned-prey that are the humans, and their predator, the ghouls.
The boundary lines seem pretty set, but humanity and intelligent life in general, seem to take great pleasure in crossing those boundary lines.
Humans and ghouls fought, of course, and eventually made weapons that could effectively kill the ghouls, but those stories are for another time.
The line-crossing that happens was their breeding.
Ghouls are very similar to humans, yes they do have their differences, but also similarities. When it comes to rules, both love to break them.
Anything they can get their hands on, at least one is going to destroy it, and countless others are going to want as well.
Many humans want to date a ghoul, just for the thrill of it, but only one in a century actually does. And not for the thrill, but love.
Humans and ghouls have bred, the most popular case being Eto. Humans and ghouls have dated, and they have adopted.
Which brings me to my story. The main focus is on a girl named Hisa Hajime. Her name means "Everlasting Beginning," Which is what her parents wanted her to do. Create a new beginning in the world where humans and ghouls can live in peace.
Her father was human, her mother, ghoul.
The mother was infertile due to things that happened in her past, making them unable to have children. So they did the next best thing.
They adopted.
The child they adopted was a "defective" ghoul child that was given up by her biological parents because she was deformed.
She was a ghoul, yes, but for some unknown, and odd, reason, she was able to eat human food and humans. In fact, she had to eat both to survive.
In every other ghoul aspect, she was perfect. She was cunning, strong, intelligent, and she had a beautiful blue-green bikaku kagune.
But the human aspect of her, made her parents hate her.
Now you might think, "What's so wrong with needing to eat human food?"
Well, when she was born, the number of RC cells she had in her body, was similar to those of a human's. Which made her parents think that she was an abomination, and disown her.
As she grew, her RC cell amount grew with her, and by the time she was 12, she had the amount of an adult ghoul. She was very powerful.
Her adoptive parents, however, loved her with all their hearts. She could be what changes the world, they thought. She could be what makes us acceptable.
She tried very hard for her parents to be that change. But that all changed when her parents we killed by doves. It hardened her heart, made her hate humans. They killed one of their kind, simply because he was in love, she thought. If they want to make us horrible monsters, then I'll show them the most terrifying monster they have ever seen. I will make them rue the day they killed my parents.
And so she did.
She became known as the Human Ghoul because she can blend in with humans, she eats their food without a problem, she can even mask her RC levels.
By the time she became 18, she was rated as an SS level ghoul. She was feared. She made men turn on themselves, for they never knew if one of them was the Human Ghoul.
She is now 20 years old. And her story is getting more interesting by the day.
Hello guys! Thank you for reading the first chapter if my book, "The Human Ghoul." I plan to get the next chapter out today, but we will see I still have no clue what I am doing today.
